"This is a great spot, I’ve stayed here several times! The staff is always super friendly and the facilities are very clean! It’s right on the edge of town, which makes it easily accessible to all the restaurants and activities!"
"Great view, nice staff food selection for dinner was nice and inexpensive. Have stayed in Arenal 20x all different locations. Will definitely make this our spot every year."
"We had to change last minute and the Villas Macadamia had a casita. Turned out to be the best place we have stayed. Plenty of space for the whole family, close to town and quiet. "

Enjoy the hot springs and explore Mistico Arenal Hanging Bridges Park, a lovely green space in La Fortuna. Wander the lush forest or discover the volcano viewpoints in this romantic area.
"We stayed here for a family vacation. It was such a beautiful place to stay. You walk out of room and you feel like you are the o Ly one there. The spring pools on property were amazing and they come and serve you drinks in the pool. The main dining hall is open and you can watch the wildlife (and volcano if it’s visible) right there when you eat. "
"Stayed here for 6 days, rooms are spacious and nothing spectacular compared to a more modern style room but makes up for it with a balcony that faces the Volcano.
There a several hot springs and one has a swim up bar that was fantastic.
They also have a pool with a pretty lengthy fast slide, the breakfast here is top notch.
Plenty of choices to choose from, the hotel also offers a view point, within the resort, that you can take a 5 minute drive that over sees the Volcano, amazing view!!
It’s a short 10 minute drive to La Fortuna so for me it worked out perfectly as I didn’t have to worry about heavy traffic flow coming in and out of the resort.
Staff helps with booking any activities you may be interested in booking.
Overall I’d definitely stay here again 10/10"
"Beautiful clean private suites with private outdoor tub. Comes equipped with coffee maker, coffee, sugar, hotplate, microwave and fridge and some basic kitchen supplies. Amazing accommodations, would definitely recommend!"
"Thank you for great advice on activities and we had our best night tour during our entire Costa Rica trip. Our room is half basement but it’s equipped with dehumidifier and air purifier thus it’s not humid during rain season, very considerate. "
"We loved the views of the lake and volcano, the food was great, the hiking trails were tons of fun, the dante waterfall was beautiful, and the staff were absolutely amazing! We loved Howard and our beautiful waitress with red hair! Also, don't let the shared bathrooms scare you away from the casona. It was an amazing room with the best view and toucans!"
"Husband and I had a pleasant stay at chachagua. We arrived late at night and was greeted at the front desk with hand towels and fruit juice. Checking in was smooth and we were escorted to our bungalow (make sure to have a high car as you will drive through a low river).
Bungalow was private and very clean. The room was cleaned daily and there was eco friendly hair products and toiletries. Room has a mini fridge, coffee maker and fresh water daily.
Continental breakfast was amazing - at a restaurant on premises. Great selection!
The springs were great- wasn’t a lot of people and we were able to enjoy it solo.
The resort was beautiful and tranquil. You can hear the animals throughout the day esp the monkeys in the morning. We didnt get to see the monkey but we did see a sloth up in the tree- thanks to Ruben (who btw gave a great coffee/ chocolate tour).
Big thank you to all the staff members- from the gentleman who greets you when entering, front desk staff, house keeping, and restaurant waiters/waitresses. All very pleasant and super helpful when we had any questions or concerns.
Pura Vida. :)
