"The pools were filthy, on the border they had a layer of something greasy. The room was “premium” it had an exclusive pool. the shower didn’t worked properly. No AC control. There were bedbugs. The balcony was nice The food in general was bad, in some cases disgusting… when I asked for some ingredients for allergy they didn’t know and didn’t bother to follow back. The kids animation was good"

"Breakfast was typical. Server plated your food. Not sure if you could return for more rice & beans. There is no coffee maker, or water with glasses. Room was clean with air conditioning, pool area was large with plenty of seats. Over all, would not return. "

"The room and facilities were clean, my only complaint would be the area itself, out of control of the hotel. There was someone sleeping on the sidewalk in front of the hotel when we arrived and there really isn’t much to offer in the area. We only stopped for the night to catch the ferry the next day and thought that there would be more to see. "

"Wonderful lodge! Liked it so much we rearranged our itinerary to come back for another night. Super quiet & scenic. Really enjoyed the pool, deck, restaurant, and seeing birds, monkeys and iguanas. Arrived too late for pizza the first night, but stayed to have it for lunch and it truly was delicious. However, learned later that Costa Rica’s ban on feeding wildlife extends to private property and bird feeders, so it would better not to feed the birds at all, or at least farther from the deck so macaws don’t swoop in for human breakfast food. "

The sunsets were incredible, and the waves were spectacular to watch. It provided the peace and relaxation we were hoping for! A couple of pointers for first-timers to the property:1. In order to have such a beautiful view in an unpopulated area, the location is remote. Make sure to do as much shopping for food, etc., as you can while on your way out. It takes too much time away from the trip if you don't, because traffic moves SLOWLY. 2. Hoyt is very responsive. Don't hesitate to reach out to him if there are any issues.3. Don't bother bringing too many clothes. You'll wear swimsuits most of the time.4. If you like ice cream, get your hands on some ChaRo brand ice cream (it's a Costa Rican brand) as soon as you can. We didn't discover it until late into the trip and we were sorry we didn't have more days to enjoy it. "
