Good choices for breakfast and nice lunch/bar menu. The bathroom was small and had some old/broken fixtures. The room was good sized and clean, and the staff was friendly and competent.

The room was wonderful, the pool was really nice and the staff was extremely nice. The only issue we had was that the bathroom's sewer system was very smelly. We got some air fresheners because it was very intense but otherwise we lived staying there

Good for a rest

The staff was great, very friendly. We were happy to find Hotel Cayuga as we were passing through the area so we could rest. The rooms could use more counter space, somewhere to put luggage/purse/etc. There is no counter space. Rooms are snug but AC works great which is always good. There’s a small market right next door which is very handy.

BEWARE OF BED BUGS!!!

This Hotel does seem clean and the staff was professional and friendly however we found BED BUGS along the head rest of the bed. BED BUGS are a pest that travels from room to room and will follow you in your suitcase. Treatment lasts weeks and they have to fumigate the entire place. I urge you to pick another place or ask if they have fumigated and properly treated!!!

Puntarenas Costa Rica very nice hotel

The hotel is in town, close walk to the beach. Staff is very accommodating and friendly. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Pool area very nice. Our first time to Puntarenas Costa Rica and the hotel is perfect.

The hotel is good overall terms. Staff is kind, limited options for food, we ate at the hotel restaurant which was really good. The main parking is limited, but they have another 2nd parking about 200 meters from hotel. We didn’t like that room was too small, the bathroom was too tiny at least on the room we took.

I had a really nice stay here. The room was clean and secure, the wifi, air conditioning, shower, all worked great. The staff was super- friendly and helpful. They were patient with my awful Spanish and were able to switch to English when needed. Even the restaurant had good food. Not a luxery resort, but perfectably servicable at a good price. Puntarenas isn't the "nicest" town per se but it is interesting and authentic and this hotel is very good.

Cayuga review

This hotel is the only one to stay in if you have to go to Puntarenas. The town is rundown and dirty with nothing to offer. However this hotel was a life saver! Nice pool and modern with on site restaurant and bar. Small rooms though but manageable.
