The property is absolutely gorgeous! Every day, walking to my villa through a Isle of beautiful flowers and plants and being greeted by watching. So many hummingbirds, and hearing all the wonderful sounds of the birds. It was amazing to be able to look out my window and see the Volcano. The best part about what made this stay. So magical is the staff. Maximal greeted me when I checked. In carried, my bag into the room showed me how to use the air conditioner and where everything was at. I was so happy! Valeria took care of me every day, with answeri ng all of my questions, where I can find things, making sure that I get to breakfast. And she was just a pleasant, wonderful happy person! I was so glad to have met them. And how they helped take care of me and how they made my stay here in magical! I am shared with so many of my friends even before I got home. That when they come to costa rica, they have to stay here. It's been a beautiful experience! Pura Vida!

About an hour from San Jose and STRONGLY recommend at least 1 or 2 nights coming to or from. This is an extraordinary experience. The casitas are over the top, but the 5 waterfalls hike, the Aviary, Frog experience, Big Cats and Butterfly house will blow your mind. It is all rescued animals given the best experience that could be created. I will find a way to visit there EVERY time I go to Costa Rica.

I don't even know where to start. This place was PERFECTION! The staff in the entire hotel was incredibly friendly and helpful, I feel that they are all our friends now. The food at the restaurant is amazing, people come visit from outside the hotel just to dine at the restaurant. The pools are sooo nice, and that is a highlight for me because my husband hates getting into pools, I literally had never seen him enjoy a pool the was he did in this hotel. We didn't have to share it with other guests when we went in and it just feels very peaceful and the views are breathtaking. The day we checked out I literally thought he would not get out of the pool so we could leave. The servers at the restaurant and pool bar were very nice and we enjoyed having conversations with them, Abraham, Anthony and Ricardo. The bell guys, the tour guide, our concierge, it just feels like they're all a family. The room was super comfortable and spacious, we had a view even from the shower with a giant window, plus a balcony and a huge rooftop for ourselves. They offer a complimentary tour of the property that is about 6 acres of preserved forest where you can see monkeys, sloths, scarlet macaws, among many other birds and species.

We had a great stay at Tango Mar. The owner always greeted us each day to see how we were or how our day was. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious! I took advantage of the spa and had an incredible massage. Gorgeous views of the ocean right out your window and the multiple pools to cool off in with the heat. Swimming beaches were a short drive away if you wanted to swim in the ocean.
