"This is a very beautiful secluded rental. It was also pet friendly. Our Lab loved to run in the yard while we were outside. The lake and fall trees were gorgeous!"

"I loved it! I used this as a base camp to go hiking in Acadia NP, and it was perfect for that, but I also could have spent my entire two days at the property and been very content. As it was, I slept deeply on my air mattress in the loft and watched the beautiful sunrises while sitting at the shore and while eating breakfast at the table inside. On the second morning, I also explored the entire lake with the host's canoe. It was quiet and serene, listening to a pair of loons that I was able to see up close while paddling. I took a short, refreshing dip in the clear water of the lake. I was there mid-week in the shoulder season, so maybe I got lucky, but I had the entire lake to myself.If I'd been staying longer, I might have wanted the ability to lock the cabin. I did have an orb weaver spider join me in the port-o-john, but I left it alone and it did me the same courtesy. Really the biggest issue was finding and getting there. Google gave me a location for the address that wasn't even on the correct lane. I arrived after dark and the long driveway and lack of signage made it hard for me to know if I was going the right way or going to end up at someone else's house. I bumped into some tree stumps that were hard to see in the dark. Upon leaving the property, the big SUV I was driving, a VW Atlas Crossfire, had issues with the loose rock and spun its tires going up the small hill close to the road. Overall, I highly recommend it and hope I can return!"

"This was a wonderful place. Immaculate. Thoughtfully furnished. Even the books on the bookshelf were great. And the games and the poster about the moose and the fire ring! This was our seventh trip to Maine and the first trip for my brother and his wife. We took them to see all our favorites, Bass Harbor, Thuya Garden, Tinder Hearth Bakery, Stonington, Fort Knox, Acadia, Thunder Hole, Jordan Pond, the Wooden Boat School and more. I asked my husband what his favorite spot had been. He paused and said, "It may have been just sitting around the VRBO." It is simply perfect."

"The VRBO was a good location to visit many places in Maine, about an hour from each location. Acadia has a park area close by, but few stopping points , mostly a scenic drive. The main Acadia National Park is about 45 to 50 mins away. Using the bus system during the busiest season is the smartest option. There is a new Gateway Center outside of the park , which will take you to the old visitor center and that is about 30 mins from Goldsboro. Lobster dinners are very expensive, but 10 miles down the road is Millbridge with a family owned and operated Chipman’s wharf and you can find lobster and seafood for sale. Great prices and they will cook the lobster for you. There is a grocery store in Millbridge or if you need something larger then drive up to Ellsworth about 30 mins away. The house is very comfortable and equipped with everything you need (we couldn’t find a toaster, there is a large toaster oven). The coffee pot uses pods. The bedrooms are large and beds are comfortable. TV in every room and a huge one in the living room. No carpeting except area rugs , which makes the house easy to clean. The house was spotless when we arrived and comfortable after a very long traveling and flight issue day. We flew into Bangor , which is about an hour away. We would stay here again if we returned to Maine since Rachel has created a comfortable home and easy to communicate with. This was one of our best VRBOs that we have stayed in since starting to travel in 2018. "

"The house was clean and well equipped. It was perfect for 6 people. The basement smelled musty and was not so comfortable as bedrooms.The grill was missing even though it was advertised.That was a bit disappointing and the stairs to the beach were a bit scary. Otherwise we had a good time in Corea."

"Very pretty house with a perfect mix of open living space and well designed sleeping area. The rooms had nice beds and pillows. Living area had pretty open space incorporating the living room and dining room. It also had a view from kitchen. Overall a great place to stay!"
