The Schweizerhof is a very modern and comfortable hotel. Quiet and comfortable rooms. The hotel has excellent facilities including a bar on the ground and ice and fresh water rooms on each floor. The breakfast was great. Great transport links with the train and tram outside. I liked as a hotel guest the hotel gives you a free pass around Basel. I highly recommend the hotel.

Great hotel it could be more than 3 stars. It is located close to Basel SBB which makes a bit noisy the area. Everything else were great.

The hotel is beautiful, conveniently located near the train and the rooms are extremely clean and comfortable. We loved our stay. The best part was the staff who were so accommodating. We had an extremely difficult journey to get to Basel due to our train being canceled, and the front desk woman so graciously allowed us to check in early. It honestly made our first day in Switzerland such a dream. I will look for their hotels whenever I travel.

Nice hotel in excellent location

Excellent location / friendly staff / good room / older hotel but well maintained / comfortable bed / included a ticket for public transport during the stay which i think is a great idea / we had a room towards the front therefore it was a bit noisy from the Trams in front of the hotel but that did not bother us.

Excellent choice for a 3 star hotel. I’d say it’s nearly 4. Extremely clean rooms, just off the train station which makes it very convenient for travel around the country. Just be aware that many rooms are overlooking the tram station working 24/7. You might feel a little noisy when you open the window. At the meantime, soundproof is very good and you can sleep well if you close it. Highly recommended.

Very conveniently located across from the train station and local metro trains and buses. Staff was welcoming. Rooms was roomy and clean. Televisions are not ‘smart’, can’t stream. Cleaning staff was not through for daily cleanings, left dirty glasses and didn’t refill hand wash.

wonderful staff that addressed all of questions being out of towners. So great to be so close to the train and bus stations and was given free access to the public transportation. Loved this hotel!
