But most important was the staff, Anna was the person who kindly attended to us and was fully available to meet our needs and willing to help with a tip or any other kind of inquiry I may have. Breakfast was freshly made by a young lady Janelle who also had a smile on her face. "A Magical Rainforest Escape – Highly Recommended! We absolutely loved our stay at Ataraxia eco lodge! The property is run by a very nice couple who make you feel incredibly welcome from the moment you arrive. It is beautifully located right in the rainforest, allowing you to completely immerse yourself in nature. During our stay, we loved watching monkeys playing, spotting sloths, and seeing a variety of beautiful tropical birds right from the property. The food was another major highlight. The complimentary breakfast was delicious, and they also offer a healthy, plentiful, and amazing dinner for an extra fee, which is well worth it. The location is incredibly quiet and peaceful. It is the perfect place to disconnect, enjoy nature, listen to the birds and frogs yipping, and gaze at the stars at night. One thing that travelers should be aware of is that this is a true eco-lodge, so there is no air conditioning in the room. If you are someone who absolutely prefers to sleep in a cold room, keep this in mind. For us, it was part of a wonderful, authentic experience."

"Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the resort, Esthefany and the entire staff were very accommodating and made certain that all of our needs were met. The resort offers a tranquil and relaxing atmosphere and the views were picturesque. We enjoyed a private boat tour of the island which included snorkeling, dolphin watching, and relaxation at the beach and we also participated in the zip line experience. Orbitz did not provide an option to add on the transfer from the airport to the boat tender (less than 5 mins away) but there was a gentleman from the resort that shuttled our group to the tender upon arrival. Great experience!!!"

"This was our favourite stop on our 3 week trip. This property is a piece of paradise. The bungalow over the water was amazing - clean and spacious! The breakfast was wonderful and the lunch and dinner options were also amazing. We loved the nature trail and we made good use of the paddle boards on offer. However, the best thing about this hotel is the staff. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel like family. All of the staff were so kind, friendly and helpful. They were wonderful with our 16 month old. Special shout out to Rafia (sorry if this is spelt wrong) - he was brilliant with our son! This hotel will always be our favourite holiday destination. Thank you so much everyone, we hope to be vac one day!"

"My stay at the Lodge at Punta Rica was one of the most enjoyable and relaxing vacations I have ever had. Nestled on a hilltop on Bastimentos Island and overlooking the Caribbean Sea, the lodge was a peaceful haven of tranquility, beauty, and relaxation—exactly what I needed after a hectic and stressful season of life. The hotel staff met me at the airport and transported me by boat to Bastimentos Island, a short 20-minute ride from Bocas del Toro Isla Colón. Brian and Dan, the owners of the lodge, were hospitable and accommodating in every way. Brian, a professionally trained chef, prepared meals that were scrumptious, healthy, and beautifully presented. The desserts were especially delicious and decadent; the chocolate donuts and chocolate mousse were the best I have ever had. Every meal at the lodge was locally sourced and prepared with love and careful attention to detail. The room I stayed in was spacious, nicely furnished, and conveniently located near the pool. Although the rooms do not have air conditioning, the fans kept the space comfortable. There are also no televisions on the property, which allowed me to focus on the natural beauty of the lodge, decompress, and disconnect from the noise of the outside world."

"Beautiful house very well equiped and comfortable.The restaurant Eclypse de mar just 5 min of walk is very good and usefull because there are no grocery on the Island. Just notice that the water is not always as beautiful as on the pictures depending on the moment of the year I guess. Unfortunately, we were unable to see the seabed during our stay.We still had a wonderfull moment with our kids !"
