"Some of the furniture is a bit outdated (towels were a bit thin, and not very plentiful), but was clean. The staff were nice & welcoming, the mattresses were comfortable, and we had everything we needed!
Its also in a pretty quiet location with a restaurant/bar and a bowling alley next door."
"The John Day Motel doesn’t pretend to be anything more than it is: a friendly, reasonably priced place to stay staffed by very nice people. It’s an older facility but well kept. After a long day of driving we were in need of a good shower and a comfortable bed - we found both at the John Day Motel!
Little things like the bottles of water and snack basket in the room along with ear plugs if it got too noisy (it didn’t!) just added to the charm of the place. It’s also a short walk to several restaurants and other shops.
We will definitely stay here again when our travels take us to that area. Only 13 rooms so making a reservation is probably a good idea!"
"Absolutely fantastic property. Very comfortable with all amenities you could hope for. Perfect for our yearly old men on motorcycles trip. Amazing scenery and well maintained and clean roads. If we go back to this area we will stay here again"
"Laurel was very kind and prompt with our visit. The studio was tidy and had hypoallergenic items that were perfect for my wife and I. The view of the mountain ahead was nice and the proximity was just what we needed for our trip!"
"The cottage is very clean and comfortable. Everything works great, lots of dishes to use and the coffee is always stocked up. The area is quiet and family friendly. The bed was comfortable and I plan on staying here again."
Charming 1-bedroom apartment in lovely John Day with WiFi, AC
10/10 Excellent
"Jessie is a very accommodating host, and her VRBO is excellent! The little bungalow is always clean, has front door parking, and she is even accommodating to fur babies. It is within walking distance to downtown even! The patio is a great space, and has a grill that is great for an evening in. The queen bed is comfortable and Jessie has black out shades which is appreciated. This is our second stay and we would stay again. 5 stars!"
