"The hotel is charming, impeccably managed, and serves an excellent breakfast. The staff are courteous and attentive, going out of their way to accommodate guests’ needs. One employee in particular, Sebastian, displayed a remarkable gift for customer relations. Staying at this hotel makes one feel part of the Wagnerian mirage, as though mingling with figures from the world of great music. Located just steps from the Wagner Museum and the Margravial Opera House, and within comfortable walking distance of the Bayreuth Festspielhaus, Goldener Anker is a must for both the seasoned traveler and the newcomer. Highly recommended."
