"To rate everything as excellent seems a bit over the top even to me, but I could not find a fault with this hotel. The hotel was handy to the airport and the shuttle was easy to catch and seems to run more frequently than posted. The staff at the front desk, in particular Adam, were wonderful, kind and helpful. I was cycling around Belgium with my own bike so needed to store my bike bag. Since I was returning to the hotel two weeks later, I was able to leave it at the hotel. So convenient! When I arrived after a transAtlantic flight, I was too early to check into my room, but they let me reassemble my bike in the spacious lobby while I waited for my room. The manager stopped and chatted with me about cycling as I did this. The hotel had a lovely courtyard with patio and a walking path that provided a wonderful refuge in fresh air. Yes, you have to share it with the smokers, but none appeared will I was out there. The restaurant had excellent food and service as well as snacks and drinks available all day. And then, when I returned two weeks later, it was all still perfect and Adam greeted me with recognition and warmth. If I ever return to Brussels, I will absolutely stay there again."

"I was very surprised when I arrived to find this is a hostel as there is no indication in the description and I wouldn’t have booked had I known this was the case. It was clean and practical but not in the best area. We had to walk here at night from the train station and I didn’t feel particularly safe in this area as there were quite a few gangs hanging around. The room was very basic with no tea or coffee facilities and no remote control for the TV. Everything was clean but dated looking. The breakfast was very basic with not a lot to choose from. Staff were nice but I felt very out of place in a hostel where most of the clientele were large groups of young people."
