"If you a looking for a cozy, quiet cabin retreat with premier access to Whiteface and a quick drive to Lake Placid, this is your place.The hosts were responsive, there is plenty of parking, and it was obvious that the place was cleaned well between bookings. While the furnishings and appliances are starting to show their age, this was not a deal-breaker. My only advice to future guests would be to bring your own bed pillow if you are a picky sleeper. :)This was a great setup for a small group to attend the last (for now :/) UCI DH race at Whiteface. Thank you for having us!"

"Amazingly cute little cabin with a stone fireplace. So cozy and welcoming. Small but well defined areas made it very comfortable. Loved personal little touches like handwritten notes on how to work the TV, cleanup and welcome. Amazingly sweet porch with a “Welcome Gnome”, lights and chairs to enjoy the beautiful outdoor area. We were there in the rain which added its own charm but in the summer I bet the fire pits are magical. Would definitely love to stay here again and for longer!!!!"

"We enjoyed our stay at the Cascade Mountain Chalet. The king beds and couch were comfy. The kitchen had all the gadgets and cookware you would need with a commercial size gas range. Our favorite was the hot tub after a day of hiking. Judi was an attentive host and made us feel welcome and was accessible if we needed her. Nice side yard to play in and walk the dog. We enjoyed the attractions nearby and had a great meal at a host recommended restaurant nearby."
