"I think the property was friendly to pets. It had a lot of room in the front & back yard, along with a lot of space in the living room & kitchen. The bed is big, so your pet could definitely sleep with you on it or they could go into the guest bedroom too. There is a massage chair that was definitely relaxing & the place was clean"

"We really liked this hotel and the staff was very helpful. The only issue was there were some maintenance issues with the bathroom sink. Also, the road was noisy, but they provided ear plugs. The hotel is walking distance to the train station but there is drug use and homelessness evident in the area."
Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Eagle River/Anchorage Area

"Staff was very nice and friendly, however, property is old and room is extremely basic. Linens are old and need to be replaced. Typical roach motel, you get what you pay for."
"It worked in a pinch. However, the cleanliness of the room was terrible. There no way the one bed had been cleaned. Grass, dirt, HAIR. Couldn’t believe it. Also, there was fly in the bathroom sink area. I was wondering where it came from, and then we noticed a dirty towel stuffed until the sink cabinet… I’ve never stayed someone so unkept. When we checked out I shared with the front desk and housekeeping manager, and they were very kind and helpful. I usually don’t write reviews, but I thought this was necessary to share my experience."
"This was by far the worst accommodation experience of our entire trip. The moment we entered the house, we were hit with a terrible odor that made the place feel unpleasant. We arrived late at night after a long hike and were too exhausted to look for another place, so we stayed.
The problems continued almost immediately. With normal use, both the kitchen sink and bathtub became clogged. We tried opening the windows for fresh air, but only the living room window opened. When we attempted to open the kitchen window, curtain simply fell off its hooks. It did not break; it was clearly not secure. We left it as it was.
The smell was so bad that we kept the front door open for nearly two hours and left the bedroom doors open all night just to make the house tolerable.
The most frustrating part came afterward. We were charged for the window fixture/curtain rod that had fallen off on its own and were also blamed for clogging the sink, even though both issues existed during normal use. When we contacted the property management two days later, after our hectic travel schedule, they refused to refund the charges, claiming we should have reported everything the same day.
Poor maintenance, unpleasant conditions, and unfair charges made this the only negative experience of our entire trip. Based on this experience, I would not stay here again and it has seriously reduced my confidence in using VRBO in the future. Beware of the scam by the host."
"Carol has a beautiful B&B. The yards are manicured and such a lovely setting. It is so peaceful down by the lake or in the back yard. Breakfast was fabulous. She goes above and beyond."
"Nice little motel right in town close to everything. I specifically did not want to stay in Anchorage. Eagle River had everything we needed and was nice jump off to drive out into the middle of the state."
