"My sister and I sold a house in Florida and decided in North Carolina was where we were going to relocate. We need a space for us to spend a month while we house hunted. We needed a property with a fence backyard for our two special-needs pups. We found Ben and Lori‘s place in Rutherfordton. It sounded perfect. It exceeded all our expectations. This wasn’t just a rental. This was a home warm and welcoming. Ben and Lori was wonderful to work with and although we really didn’t need to contact them because it was so easy everything was laid out well and clearly explained. The dogs loved the fenced backyard and we loved the herd of deer that spent a lot of time outback. Our lies have been so tumultuous right now with moving and all that entails that it was just nice that this part was so easy.Thanks again, Ben and Lori!"

"We never met the host and were not bothered by anyone, even though there was a house beside us........... we felt secluded. Nice home, hot tub was relaxing and the fire pit was perfect to sit around. "

"Rooms were being renovated so they were clean other than strong smoke smells. Not a place for anything other than to sleep. Initially didn’t feel very safe but ended up not feeling unsafe."

"Rustic AND comfortable :) Nestled in the woods AND close to town. Lovely property with walking trails and scenic spots to enjoy. Within minutes of the Thermal Belt Trail - excellent bike/walk trail. Perfect for couples, nature lovers and small-town enthusiasts."

"Life as it is meant to be. We were here for an overnight stay and my kids (boys 5 & 7) LOVED being outside, jumping over the creek, petting the dogs, feeding the goats, and looking at the beautiful Highland cattle - then spending the evening chasing fireflies. This is a very special place if you're looking to just get away. We plan to come back for a longer stay. "
