Perfect to explored Holy Island Donna one of staff was a 5star herself , nothing was too much trouble , and we were welcomed and well looked after -thanks "

"The location of the hotel was perfect for seahouses as really close to the shops. We stayed in a pet friendly room with a garden which was perfect for our dog. The staff were really friendly and the bed was comfortable. Great shower and the breakfast was lovely with a good selection of food. "

"Hot water ran out in the lodge and we had to call someone to fix it be because the boiler had “tripped”. Got to breakfast which we had paid for to fine it was £2 each extra for a “barista” coffee and £5 extra for smoke salmon and scrambled eggs. We didn’t have either and won’t be going again. Hate places that try to wring extra cash out of you at every opportunity- how much do you want to charge for breakfast ?"

"This is a pleasant hotel located right in the centre of Alnwick, within easy walking distance of the shops, market, castle, and gardens. The building is a former coaching inn and, considering its age, is in very good condition. We stayed for four nights on a bed‑and‑breakfast basis in an executive double room. Parking is convenient and located at the rear of the hotel. Check‑in was quick and straightforward. Our room was spacious and airy, with a comfortable king‑size bed. The bathroom was modern and well maintained. The room was quiet, and we both slept well throughout our stay. Breakfast was acceptable, although we would have preferred freshly cooked hot food rather than the buffet‑style option provided. We ate dinner in the hotel once; the food was fine, but there are better dining options available locally in the town. Overall, the staff were friendly, pleasant, and helpful, and our stay was comfortable."

"Location is great with lots of free parking options nearby including EV chargers. The room and bathroom were spacious, clean and warm. On the downside was the fact that our room was just above the pub and on Saturday night was very loud until midnight and we couldn’t sleep. So make sure to ask for a room on higher floor. Regarding the breakfast one day we had the eggs Benedict which were not good as the hollandaise sauce was too watery, scrambled and bland. The 2nd day we had the English breakfast which was very good and I would definitely recommend it. The breakfast continental buffet could have more fruit options (only apple and oranges were available) and should be refilled regularly which wasn’t the case."
