"So glad I came to stay here! Lovely, perfectly clean room -a slightly outdated bathroom but with a great hot shower. The rustic seaside charm made me feel instantly at home. I had a waterside room just metres from picturesque Lake Macquarie. The views from the outdoor area (equipped with bbq) were simply breathtaking and teeming with black swans, ducks and pelicans. It is close to shops, public transport and some great restaurants. All the staff were exceptionally helpful especially Kevin, the manager, who went out of his way to make it one of my favourite motel stays of all time. "

"Our stay at the Lake House was simply perfect. Extremely clean very comfortable beds well appointed kitchen and incredible service from the booking agent. We had an Internet issue due to a region wide outage and the booking agent sent someone over to fix it as I was working while on holidays. The location is in a gorgeous sleepy seaside Village with access to incredible beaches and the lake itself. The spa and pool table were a hit our early teenagers and the double living area meant the parents actually had a little bit of downtime too. My boys are asking when are we going back."

"Superficially the house is fabulous. Great location, amazing deck and huge. Scratch beneath the surface and its a different story. The aircon doesnt work and no instructions how to use combustion heater (or fuel) nor outdoor heater. In July, we froze!The property needs a deep clean and some repairs. A cupboard door fell off underneath the TV, blinds in 3 bedrooms were broken, the gate wouldnt close, instructions were explicit regarding recycling however there was no recycling bin. The verandah furniture was wet along with seating cushions on two lounges.Communication with agent was automated. We could not get a response even after phone message was left.We were grateful for the coffee pods and tea bags."
