Very nice hotel, beautiful view of the lake from our room. Good breakfast, also ate finner in restaurant one night, good food overall. It's about 20 minutes to get into Munich.

So relaxing
This was a wonderful retreat. We used the spa, the pool, the lounge chairs outside, the bar, and restaurant. Amazing. We opted for a lakeside room and it was absolutely worth it. Definitely recommend this hotel.

No air conditioning so we arrived with a lake facing window which was nice but full sun with curtains opened room was at least 95 degrees Fahrenheit and just a tiny desk fan to move air. Shower stall was 2’ by 2’ no light. Said it was a 4 star hotel but where? The restaurant was very good.

This is a waterfront property but also next to a road with much traffic. There is not much in the neighborhood. Parking is a problem.

Excellent hotel in a beautiful area with a lake
Very nice hotel with a private swimming pool and a private beach for the gorgeous lake. The breakfast is excellent and the staff was great and friendly. The area is beautiful and great to visit. Perfect stay and I will go again.

Accommodations are fine, the location is however remote so you may need a ride to get there. My 5 cents for you: Stick with Orbitz deal no matter what, and don"t take any offer the hotel made. You've been warned.

A mixed bag on the Starnberg See
The hotel is nice but the beds are very small and during the recent heat wave the room was very hot and stuffy. The screen door was broken and so what little breeze came in carried night insects. The staff was cordial, but very indifferent. The breakfast was very good but the coffee machine was broken. The lake access was good, but there is a constant stream of lake cruise boats and runabout coming and going at all times.

Leoni is great especially during summer.
Leoni is always wonderful. We use it also for dining during the summer months. I love the fact that they allow me to play their piano every now and then. Beautiful place and acceptable service.

Remote with dark Expedia ' rooms
After threatening to leave immediately and much altercation were we allicated a non-Expedia room with half lake view. It was not adequately cleaned, the bathroom bin not being emptied over three days . Very dirty towels were not replaced. The attractive conservativatory was reserved for Special Guests and the Breakfast Room was cramped. Expedia received full payment in advance with the remark that no payment would be demanded at the hotel, where we had tonpay again. 12 days later the first payment has still not be refunded by our Bank. We need another holiday to recuperate.

Dear guest, we are truely sorry for the disappointment you have experienced. It is certainly not our intention for our guests to experience such discomfort. Yet, I can ensure you that we are taking the cleanliness of our staterooms very serious. At the same time, we are trying to protect the environment, hence only towels on the floor will be replaced. There might have been some confusion regarding this. Indeed, booking via Expedia only offers our guests landside views, wherein direct booking offers lake view.

Disappointing
We were extremely disappointed with our room, as our booking....and the web site stated all the rooms had a balcony......ours didn't. When we questioned this we were offered a room with a balcony which overlooked a busy street. The receptionist Informed us that all EXPEDiA bookings were given the back rooms and our room had been upgraded!!!. The attitude of this receptionist was very patronising. On the wall of our room there were marks and also on the carpet (photographs have been taken). The window in the room was, granted, overlooking the lake but was small and overlooked by the adjacent rooms balcony. On our second night we decided to use the hotel restaurant but were told no table was available, but they would call our room when one was....needless to say we went elsewhere. On the positive side the blonde lady who served at the bar by the lake was exceptionally good, working hard all day but always with a smile. The hotel must get its rating from the location by the lake which is superb. Overall, for us, it was a very disappointing stay, especially as no reaction from the hotel to our check-in comments.

The stay is decent. Hotel staff is so nice and try to help you with everything you want. The view from the hotel restaurant is nice. It is a good deal to have half board included in the hotel price.

Fantastic locations X in the summer it must be fantastic- but in the winter give it a miss- room was so cold it kept me awake, corridors on top floor smelt damp and if you have to have wi-if then avoid again - service would not even support images in emails and zero service in breakfast room. May seem harsh review and my need for wi fi is business driven but room temp was awful. If it's summer however you could not wish for a better location on the lake shore- providing you don't want wifi

Nice hotel on the lake
I stayed here for 9 nights during a business trip in the nearby airport. I believe this is a nice runaway resort from the crowded Munich. The lake and the quietness around it is excellent for having a restful weekend for couples. It has a nice resturant too. However, it seems very isolated and must have a car to stay there. Rooms are nice, clean, and lake fronting.

We were traveling Germany by car on the Romance Road and were tired of sightseeing, so we decided to head to the lakes south of Germany for some relaxation before we headed back to the States. We chose this hotel based on the reviews and were not disappointed. Although we didn't get a room facing the lake, the front desk clerk gave us a room with a lovely view. It was nice to cool off in the lake. We rented a paddle board one day at the rental shop right next door, and we rented a slow moving but relaxing motor boat for a one hour tour of the lake. Nice! Only three things could be improved during out stay. No air conditioning! For such a nice hotel, I was surprised that it didn't have air conditioning. It was so hot in our room. There were screen doors on the patio door, but we couldn't leave it open because our room was right over the parking lot and people were coming and going all night, which was annoying. Second, the front hotel staff couldn't seem to recommend a place other than their pricey restaurant or suggest any local attractions to visit. And last, we were not served in the restaurant and left after 30 minutes, even though others were served after us. And they weren't even busy! Maybe they don't like Americans? Overall, good stay and I'd go back or try the hotel down the street a ways. The breakfast buffet was the usual European cold breakfast but with eggs and awesome Nuremberg sausages I'm still thinking about.

Fantastic spot right by the side of the lake
This is a fantastic spot right by the side of the lake which is great for dinner out on the patio watching the sun go down. Its also a lovely area to explore for a couple of days. The hotel staff were really friendly and made us feel very welcome throughout our stay.

nice location dierctly at the lake
Very friendly staff and felt directly welcomed. UNfortuntaley roadworks and tightly spaced car parking spots infront the hotel. Our twin bed room was nice and clean, though the shower location a bit strange, as the entrance is directly on the side of the toilet, which makes it a bit difficult to enter. Dinner and breakfast were great and we received a free welcome drink at the bar. We were also offered a lunch package at check oput, superb service I never had before.... We haven't had time to use the spa, but sounds nice.....

The restaurant staff were rude. My salad was served after my dinner. The second night I was ignored. The water was delivered after my dinner and I only received it after dropping my glass. Coffee was served twenty five minutes before they brought the desert. My room over looked the street and a construction site as well as the hotel dumpster. I would strongly suggest staying somewhere else. I am really tired of being mistreated by hotels in Europe.

Gefallen: Personal sehr freundlich, Schwimmbad herrlich, Frühstücksbuffet war ausreichend nicht gefallen: Parkgebühr von 20,00.- € pro Tag zu hoch, trotz Behindertenausweis, zusätzlich 3,50 € pro Tag Energiezuschlag, zu wenig Parkmöglichkeiten, in der Umgebung keine weiteren Möglichkeiten. Behindertenparkplatz für Behinderte mit Gehilfe nicht nutzbar, genauso eng wie normale Parkplätze. Aufzug sehr klein, Rollstuhl passt nicht Halbpension, nur 2 Hauptspeisen zur Auswahl einer der beiden Kaffee-Automaten war immer wieder gestört.

Ein Hotel in die Jahre gekommen. Balkon Renovierungsarbeiten erforderlich. Keine Klimaanlage im gesamten Hotel. Weder in der Eingangshalle noch auf den Zimmern. Bei über 30 Grad im Schatten unerträglich. Ein kleiner Ventilator stand zur Verfügung.. Frühstück sehr gut. Die vier Sterne für Hotel sind für mich nicht erklärbar. Personal sehr freundlich. Kleiner Aufzug. Fenster nicht geputzt und die Kissen auf den Stühlen und Liegen sind mit Wasserflecken nicht schön. Das Hotel punktet nur wegen seiner Lage und die Zimmer zur Seeseite. Parkplätze wenig und eng. Einige Parkplätze befinden sich an einer Steigerung. Ich konnte mich immer auf Expedia und seine ausgewählten Hotels verlassen. Hier wäre eine Überprüfung eventuell erforderlich. Die Abwicklung über Expedia war sehr gut.

Insgesamt war unser Aufenthalt ok. Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen und renovierungsbedürftig. Alles sehr hellhörig. Aufgrund des Holzfußbodens hört man jeden Schritt, insbesondere im Flur vor den Zimmern, wenn jemand vorbeigeht oder die Putzfrau morgens um 8 Uhr ihren Staubsauger hinter sich herzieht und damit auf und abgeht. Unsere Matratzen waren beide durchgelegen. Das Essen war lecker, das Personal freundlich. Leider wurden aber die 3 Gänge abends (wir hatten Halbpension gebucht) zu schnell serviert. Wirkte sehr hektisch, als wenn man schnell Feierabend machen möchte. Auch hat uns die Lage der Bar (direkt im Restaurant) nicht gefallen. Während unseres Aufenthaltes waren drei Firmen zu Gast und deren Mitarbeiter trafen sich vor ihrem Abendessen in Masse (um die 20-30 Personen) an der Bar, während die anderen Hotelgäste unmittelbar daneben in Ruhe ihr Abendessen genießen wollten. Wir kamen uns vor wie in einem englischen Pub, um mal den Lautstärkepegel zu verdeutlichen. Da die Bar nicht veränder-/verschiebbar ist, sollte man vielleicht mal darüber nachdenken, sie wenigstens während des Abendessens (für große Gruppen) geschlossenen zu lassen. Leider konnte man uns während unseres Aufenthaltes auch keine Badeslipper zur Verfügung stellen, da keine da waren (scheinbar hat die Firma nicht geliefert).
