IntercityHotel Berlin Airport BER Terminal 1+2

10/10 Excellent
"I am very impressed with this property! Excellent breakfast. Very helpful hotel team. Rooms are perfectly insulated so you can sleep properly. A steal for the price you pay and 5 min walking from the airport. The perfect strop if you come from a long flight."

Park Inn by Radisson Berlin Alexanderplatz

Park Inn by Radisson Berlin Alexanderplatz

8/10 Good
"The hotel is in the middle of everything, very accessible for public transport, shops, restaurants and many more. Staff are very nice from day one to our check out. Food in the hotel not that good in a Radisson hotel. And another thing negative minor comment from us was emptied hand towels and emptied shower gel which unlikely strange to a Radisson because I am a Radisson booker myself. It was not really a concern to us because we brought our own shower gel but ofcourse my concern for those costumers who didn't brought shower gel themselves. But still I would highly recommend this hotel for some other reasons."

Pocket Guide: Romantic Berlin Hotels

Although not one of Europe’s most obvious romantic getaways, Berlin has much to offer those looking for a special getaway with a significant other. Steeped in history, culture and alternative experiences, Berlin is a great option for couples looking for somewhere a bit different. What’s more, visitors have access to plenty of public transport, making it an easy city to get around.

Romantic Hotels in Berlin

Over the years Berlin has grown in popularity for travellers and hotels have responded by continually upping their game. For couples, this could mean a luxurious hotel room with views out over Alexanderplatz; a boutique hotel situated in one of the city’s quirky neighbourhoods; or an upmarket hostel to satisfy the budget-conscious travellers. Whatever your preference, the city will have somewhere for you and your loved one to lay your head for the night.

Romantic Activities in Berlin

Start your visit in Germany’s capital with a tour of the Berlin Wall. Although existing under tragic circumstances, what is left of the Wall is now an incredible outdoor gallery (it is in fact the longest open-air gallery in the world) and a wonderful tribute to this significant part of history.

Delve even further into Berlin’s past with a trip to the very fascinating Berliner Unterwelten Museum (Berlin Underworld Museum), a labyrinth of old bunkers and channel systems that existed during the Cold War, World War II and Berlin Wall.

If you and your partner enjoy zoos then the Berlin Zoo, one of Europe’s most impressive zoos, is a must. Spanning 33 hectares and housing over 20,000 animals and over 1,500 species, you could easily spend a whole day taking in its wide variety of animals.

Impress your loved one with a visit to Berliner Dom Cathedral, one of Berlin’s most remarkable buildings. The cathedral’s exterior and interior is very magical. When outside, make sure to take a moment with your partner to soak up views out over the River Spree and to enjoy the nearby gardens of Berlin Palace and Altes Museum.

Go one step further with a trip to Peacock Island in the southern part of the city. Here you will find Pfaueninsel Palace, an incredible palace that dates back to the late 1700s. This is the perfect setting for a romantic stroll with, of course, the odd peacock gracing you both with its presence.

Romantic Places to Eat and Drink in Berlin

Berlin is fast becoming one of Europeit’s favourite food haunts, with its food options offering anything from Michelin starred restaurants to fast and tasty street food. Looking for a night out with your other half? Whether it is a lively club night, quiet gig performance or casual beers that youit’sre after, Berlin will not disappoint. The beers are a particular highlight for obvious reasons and, should you both be serious beer fans then why not make a plan to come in October when Octoberfest is in full swing.
