Private location with spectacular river and mountain views!

Our extremely energy efficient home is located in a very private country area with beautiful views of the Androscoggin River and the White Mountains. It's a very peaceful setting. The large deck on the back of the house looks over the river. The location is only a few miles to the picturesque town of Bethel, ME which has restaurants, gift shops, a Post Office, a pub, a grocery store, a movie theater, a mineral museum and hardware store.

The house has a master suite that includes a king sized bed, two closets, and a private bathroom. The second bedroom has a twin - that pulls out to a king, a small desk, a closet, and a TV.

The kitchen is fully stocked with everything that you will need to cook. The guest bathroom includes a shower, a vanity, a toilet, and a washer and dryer.

The open concept living area has one sofa, two chairs, a TV, a kitchen island with three stools, a dining area, and a desk area.

The total size of the house is 1400 sq. ft.

Within an hour of the house are some of the finest hiking trails, skiing, and other outdoor recreational activities in all of New England.

The house is perfect for a peaceful, romantic getaway!

Excellent stay

Perfect Thanksgiving get away! Gorgeous spot with smazing view. While we were here it snowed which just added to the beauty. Scott is excellent host. Enjoed everything about this house.

We have spent 1- and 2-week vacations in Maine for almost 20 years, and all four of us agree that this is the nicest house we have stayed in. The view from the living room is spectacular, looking down at the Androscoggin River and the mountains to the west. The house has two very comfortable bedrooms; the primary has an adjoining bathroom, while the other is close to the bathroom which has the washer and dryer. The house itself is beautifully designed and built, and the host provided us with everything we could need, and even had some breakfast food available when we arrived. We enjoyed trips into Bethel, finding great little pubs and restaurants, a pottery studio, a museum, etc. There are many hiking trails only a few miles from the house, and several outdoor attractions (other trails and waterfalls) only minutes away. We hope to vacation here again in the near future!

Perfect Getaway!

The beauty of the river along with this marvelous home made for a perfect and relaxing getaway. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets to start and end the days. The house had everything we could ask for!

Great stay!

I would 100% recommend. The view alone is amazing! Great place to unwind and get away from it all. Scott's place is super clean and comfortable. He even met us during check in to give us a tour of the house. The house is close Bethel and everything the region has to offer.

Memorable long weekend

One of the nicest VRBOs we have ever stayed in. Quiet, stunning views of the river, well appointed and artistically decorated house, great communication with Scott, located close to Bethel's fabulous restaurants and lots of local hiking. It's even nicer than the (already nice) photos. We hope to return soon!

Beautiful home

Beautiful property with everything we needed. Scott was very helpful. The beds were more firm than we are used to, but that was the only small negative. View from the house was gorgeous

Just a wonderful week

The house was beautiful. It was nice to have the owner there to great us and go over the home. Fantastic views of the river and mountains. Several local places to fish as well as right there at the house. Local places to eat and shop were a bonus as well. Just a very relaxing week. Hope to go again.

If Perfection Was a Place….

Bethel Gem

We had the pleasure of staying at this home for the month of February where we used as home base for a ski house. Little did we know about how much more it was. Its scenic location, breathtaking views and sunrise/sunsets are what calendars are made from. The house was modern, very well kept, had everything we needed to make it feel like home. Very clean, just perfect for what we were looking for. The drive to the mountain was only 15-20 min pending traffic, and downtown Bethel even closer. The only thing better than the house was the host, who always was available and checked in regularly on our stay and if we had any needs. 5 starts all around. Would definitely stay here again!

A Top Experience!

This home and location are spectacular, and our host, Scott, was welcoming and kind. There is so much to do in the area, or you could choose to do nothing but enjoy the amazing view from this property all day and it would be time well spent! We did it all! Super clean, exceptionally designed house, with all the conveniences. A favorite thing, aside from the view, was the calm and quiet, both inside the house and outside on the deck and in the yard. We spent 4 days/nights here and I didn't want to leave :)

Great mountain retreat

Scott was the consummate host- he greeted us at his home to make sure we found our way-we arrived late and in the dark- and proudly showed us all the house's offerings. The house is beautifully appointed and had amazing views of the mountains and Androscoggin River with an abundance of wildlife to watch for. We loved coming back from skiing at Sunday River to a cozy home to cook and share meals together and relax! Thank you- we can't wait to visit again in a different season to see the beauty of Maine!

Another wonderful stay

Our second stay at Scott's place. His house is by far the nicest VRBO we have ever stayed at. It is appointed with everything we need, Scott leaves breakfast goodies which are much appreciated, and the views of the river from almost every window are spectacular and serene. The house aesthetics are a perfect balance of practical and beautiful. There are nice walks out the door, skiing and hiking is close by, as are restaurants that rival some of Portland's great eateries. The only thing that is difficult when we are there is deciding whether to linger on the couch and watch the meandering river, or head out on an adventure.

Amazing views, peaceful and relaxing

Our first time in Maine and it was perfect. If you are looking for a beautiful home that offers peace and tranquility, this is the place! The view of the Androscoggin River can be seen from almost every window of the home. The patio also provides a serene environment overlooking the river and woods. We saw wild turkeys with their little ones daily. The home is beautiful inside, exceptionally clean, fully equipped kitchen, and the beds are very comfortable. It is your home away from home. The town of Bethel is only a few miles away and has a wonderful cafe and bakery, grocery store and the ambience of a small home town. You will not be disappointed!

Stunning view !! Beautiful Home !! Amazing host !

Our Host Scott was amazing !! He met us at the the house and gave us the tour of the home . He gave us suggestions of restaurants and places to see in the area .One was the Grafton Notch state park which we loved ! The house was beautiful and immaculate and stocked with everything you need for cooking ! The view was amazing of the Androscoggin River and mountains and it was fun to watch all the people Kayaking, and tubing down the river ! The bed was super comfortable ! This was the place we needed to get away from it all as it was so private and quiet ! We have found our gem ! We would certainly re-book ! Thank you for everything Scott hope to be back next year !

A Little Paradise

I cannot say enough good things about this amazing home and wonderful owners. The location is a perfect distance to summer hiking, kayaking on the river, a community garden, great places to eat, buy food, local shopping, Sunday River and even the local airport. And if none of those appeal to you, simply spending time at the house is relaxing enough. For me, the home itself was my kind of dream home. The set up makes you feel comfortable right away, and the house is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. The owners are incredibly friendly, helpful and accommodating, and made sure I was settled and comfortable for the stay. I can say that I was relaxed and fully enjoyed every second of the completely stress free stay, and I hope that I will be able to return many more times in the future!

Truly Exceptional!

What a Special Place!! Stunning view of the river. Exceptionally clean, modern and well-appointed property. Kitchen had the best and most dishes, utensils, appliances and consumable pantry items of any property we’ve stayed at. The home is a model of energy efficiency and thoughtful design. There was even a desk with a large monitor and river view for our remote work, and a 2nd desk in the one bedroom for conference calls. Home has DSL speed internet and an AT&T signal strong enough for 35 Mbps down, 10 Mbps up hotspot. Scott met us to introduce us to the property and show us around the place that he is deservedly proud of. Excellent communication and the few questions/concerns we had were immediately addressed. We were here for a working ski week - Sunday River was a 15 minute drive with ample mid-week parking close to the lodge. But, we we’re just as happy returning to this property because it was so serene and beautiful! We'll definitely be returning.
