"Experience depends on the room you get. Corner room is like dorm, middle room is 3 star. One person gets a two bedroom place, and you can not have a guest. "
"Hotel is next to the main tram line T1 in Istanbul which is a tourist godsend and 10mins easy walk to the nearest M2 metro station. Grand Bazaar a couple of hundred yards away and most of the main tourist attractions are at most 10-15mins walk from the hotel - or 2-3mins on the T1.
Staff were all very friendly and helpful.
Only slight downside was that the breakfast could have been more plentiful"
"We were looked after very well, the first night I found the area a bit intimidating but got used to it and thoroughly enjoyed my stay, the breakfast was very nice. I would go back there x"

"We recently stayed at Carina Gold Hotel for 5 nights and had a wonderful experience. The accommodation was excellent, with rooms that were exceptionally clean, comfortable, and pleasant to stay in.
The reception staff truly stood out for their friendliness and professionalism. They were always ready to assist and guided us in the right way without ever pressuring us into hotel-related packages. Instead, they genuinely helped with arranging shopping trips, recommending quality restaurants, suggesting popular tourist attractions, and even organizing taxis for local travel and airport transfers.
The complimentary breakfast was another highlight—fresh, tasty, and well-prepared, giving us the perfect start to our mornings.
Overall, we highly recommend Carina Gold Hotel & Restaurant for anyone looking for clean and well-maintained rooms, courteous staff who go above and beyond in helping tourists, and delicious food. It’s an excellent choice for both comfort and hospitality."
"I would recommend this hotel to anyone who travels to İstanbul! It is very safe, there are always 1 or 2 security guards stationed outside the hotel entrance. Before you enter, you have to go through a security check. It has a very chic look, with 5 floors and beautiful glass bridges and chandeliers. Staff are very respectful, and there is a restaurant on the ground floor and a spa on the third floor. The best room service is provided, they give extra amenities like shower caps and vanity kits. There is also a minibar that you can buy from. At nighttime, I called the front desk to ask to bring an extra pillow to my room , and within a minute, it arrived! There is a lot to do a few hundred meters within reach of the hotel, including the blue mosque. "
"Outstanding and luxurious property with local art and decor that elevated our experience. The staff were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The hotel includes breakfast with breathtaking views, luxury car transportation to local attractions such as Hagia Sophia, and a relaxing spa. The location was superb, and I can’t imagine going back and staying somewhere else. Excellent option for a family with kids "
"Hotel is still in great condition for being in old town. Maybe a 5-8 minute walk to the blue mosque. Breakfast that is included is just ok. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Also 10 euro to send out a bag of laundry to have washed dried and folded on return. Seemed like a great deal since places around were 250 per kg."
"I’m not going to share too much about my own experience since everyone’s will be different. The hotel is in a fantastic location—less than five minutes from a beautiful grand masjid, right next to the spice bazaar, with the Bosporus river and tram connection just around the corner (5/10 mins), plus plenty of food and shops nearby (perfect!). Hop on the tram and within three stops you’re right outside the Blue Mosque.
The hotel room itself looked a bit dated and could do with an upgrade. In one of our rooms the Wi-Fi was very weak, though in the other room it worked just fine. On the positive side, the staff were really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent, and the chef, along with all the staff, was extremely hospitable."
"Perfect location for a break in Istanbul. Historic hotel with lovely rooms and friendly, helpful staff. Walking distances to lots of great restaurants and bars, and attractions. Highly recommend."
