"The room was basically dirty & scruffy. Linen & towels ok but the floor needed vacuuming & bathroom floor around skirting looked like had never been cleaned. Staff seemed stretched & too busy, most of the dinner menu was sold out & my partners poached eggs on toast resembled hard boiled eggs on toast ..."

"A different experience, room in Thatched Cottage rather than Castle itself, we were only guests staying, so very quiet and peaceful location, just continental breakfast with limited range other than several fruits. A memorable experience but not a luxury experience befitting luxury price."
