Maka Nui Estate Luxury OceanView Retreat Above Kealakekua Bay, Family friendly
10/10 Excellent
"Sublime lanais, gentle cradling breezes, outtasight views, splendid house and property. Very well equipped and loved house, vast rooms, well stocked kitchen, comes with beach toys and supplies, comfortable beds. Many thanks to the incredible property manager Candi who was upbeat, helpful, a super communicator and host!"
"We have stayed at this house several times now and really love it. Great place for a large family or multiple couples, or some combo of the two. The deck and views are amazing. It's very quiet and relaxing, with enough space to spread out but also nice places to hang out together. Bring binoculars to check out the dolphins in the bay most days. "
"When I booked our stay at Gingerhill, I had no idea what to expect outside of an experience that would be unlike the typical room and board my partner and I are accustomed to. I can honestly say that this may be one of the most special stays that we have had the pleasure of experiencing. Falling asleep to the sounds of the forest in the Jungle Canopy and cohabiting alongside nature allowed us to seclude and connect in between adventures on the island. A charming, intimate, and surprisingly comfortable stay, we will be returning to this special place and recommend it to anyone who is open to connecting with the beautiful nature of the island. "

"Easy to check in and check out. Quick responses. Kay was very kind to make our stay as easy, pleasant, and welcomed as possible. We run into zero issues. Location was great for our trip too, as it's close to the local parks where we saw people snorkeling with Dolphins one morning, which was definitely a blast. We were just a little late in that morning when we got in the water."
"The room decor is very unique and full of history. The back yard is full of surprises with nature and even a forest movement studio! Stuff are very friendly and easy to talk to. The owner herself is nice to chat with. Breakfast is included and delicious and healthy! We love this place!! "
Oceanview, private pool, 5 acres of avocados! Gorgeous coffee district jewel!

"The kitchen was fully stocked with appliances, pots, pans, serveware, you name it. We enjoyed cooking meals at home for the family. The property is gorgeous and the fruit growing on the property were a wonderful bonus. The pictures don't do this place justice! The house is much larger than it appears and the view is perfect. "
"Our stay was incredible. Gigi made us feel like family and the property was gorgeous. Home cooked breakfast each morning made with care and love. She took special care of my diabetic husband, making him special options. We will be back!"
