The Lodge at Spruce Peak, a Destination by Hyatt Residence
6/10 Okay
"The Lodge is very convenient for skiing, located at the base of the mountains next to the lifts. I stayed there in mid-March during many schools' spring break, and the hotel was very busy with lots of families. All of the staff that I met were friendly and helpful. I dined twice at the two restaurants on site: Alpine Hall and Tipsy Trout. Service quality was mixed. One night at Alpine Hall was professional, the other was amateurish with a poorly trained server and an out-of-date wine list. Service at Tipsy Trout was good. Unfortunately, I got very sick after having dinner at Alpine Hall my last night at the Lodge. When I reported my illness to a hotel employee, she asked what I had eaten and said that other guests had reported getting sick. I did not hear anything further from the Lodge. "
Spacious ski-in, ski-out 2-BR Jay Peak Village Condo, right on trail. A/C incl.!
10/10 Excellent
"This condo was everything we were expecting and needing for our stay at Jay Peak. We had easy ski-in/ski-out access to the slopes by literally walking out the front door! Check in was a breeze via the clear communication and instructions provided by the host. Beds were comfy with nice soft sheets. Bathrooms were well stocked with clean towels and kitchen stocked with just about everything you could need for a home-cooked meal. We would definately consider renting from Deb again in the future. Thank you so much!-Adam and Sarah"
Cozy 1-bedroom cabin in tranquil Eden, northern Vermont
10/10 Excellent
"This was the perfect affordable accommodation for our little trip. Only 35 minutes from Jay Peak, great country store next door with all the groceries you will need and a great restaurant ( Snake and Apple). If you do not feel like cooking. The cabin was very comfortable and stocked with everything we needed. The dogs had a blast as well. I highly recommend this cabin for a couple or small family looking for a quiet and clean place at an affordable rate. We will definitely book this again when we come back to the area. "
"This property was old which wasn't a problem it was quaint but the fern room was comically small, felt like the top half of a barn, like the whole building was probably a barn. The room had ladybugs & flys, the ladybugs didn't bother me but the flys were making horrible buzzing sounds & we couldn't sleep so we had to kill the flys but left the ladybugs alone. Other flys never came back so that was good, perhaps someone left a door open. You could easily hear the rooms nearby like a simple radio playing, speaking quietly, etc. The bathroom downstairs closest to the fern room was absolutely disgusting, it was old, had bugs everywhere, no proper towels, & the shower was very unappealing. However the bathroom closer to the outdoor area was lovely much cleanier, nice towels, shower was good. The outdoor area was beautiful very photogenic & cozy. The restaurant/bar was open at very specific hours which meant we never got to use it because we had to travel around vermont (the hotel is not located near anything interesting) & by the time we came back like 9pm it was closed & in the mornings its not open at all, which was pretty disappointing. So there's nothing at all to do at night in the hotel except sleep or read, etc (no tv either). I never saw any staff but they texted & were kind & responsive. My husband & I were there for an anniversary trip, we spent most of our time driving & exploring Vermont. Bed was cozy but I found it strange we had to strip it before leaving."
"We had a wonderful experience staying at the Black Lantern Inn. The Inn is location on the main street, and very easy to find. We didn't get to the property until 1:00 AM, and the property were decorated with Christmas lighting, which made it cozy and super easier find the place, especially when it was so dark out. There's a small parking lot between the two buildings, and our room was in the Burdette House. The buildings are vintage, but the room has all the towels and basic shampoos, and shower gel.
