"Our cabin was clean and peaceful. Check-in was super simple - a code for your entry into your cabin gets sent to you 24 hours before your arrival, however, I never received one. I called the number for the property and staff was super helpful, apparently sometimes when booking this property through Expedia, there are delays/issues with automatically being sent the code. This being said, the helpful staff sent me the code and it was an easy process. Awesome stay, great location! No complaints, will return again."

"Great place and location in Mahone Bay. Located on the strip this us a beautifully decorated restored 19th century home. The owners/hosts were great and the room was great. Our room on the ground floor had sink, fridge, BBQ, sitting area outside and a comfortable bed. We will stay here again."

"Thank goodness for the AC in the room, as it was such a hot day! The room was cute and the bed was very comfortable! Thomas was one of the owners and he surprised us with a gourmet breakfast the next morning! In addition to the traditional eggs and bacon, he served delicious piece of smoked salmon, seven types of fresh fruits, different types of cheeses, individually packed. My husband and I absolutely loved this healthy and delicious breakfast, not to mention, the spread on the table looked so beautiful!"

"The property was immaculate! Virtually spotless! Pam, the host, was quick to respond to any questions we had. The property is conveniently located to access all of Mahome Bay, by foot. Anywhere else we needed to go was a short car ride away! We truly enjoyed our stay!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our two day stay at The Getaway. It was super clean, well-appointed, easily walkable to downtown, quiet and the owners were very nice and great communicators. The photos shown on VRBO are an accurate representation. Also having a washer and dryer was a big bonus to us."
