Best Western Carlisle

"The room was clean but very cold when entering the room. Warmed up quickly once temperatures adjusted. Children running up and down hallways woke us up and a baby crying was the only reason for a four rating. Hotel staff stopped the children from being disorderly and we were able to continue with a good nights sleep. Did not par take in the breakfast so can’t comment on that. Although hotel offered free coffee but was out of decaffeinated which was a bummer."

"We find this the perfect place to stay when we come for our annual family get together at Caledonia State Park. It is very convenient to get to the motel, and to the park from the motel; the motel is very close to the Chambersburg exit off I81 at Rte 30; and from the motel, it is only a 10-11 min drive East on Rte 30 to the park. There are multiple pleasant places to eat within convenient walking distance, and we find this one-level, dog friendly motel very comfortable. We also find the breakfast to be perfectly suited for us--with waffles, muffins, bagels, toast, scrambled eggs, sausage, chipped beef gravy and biscuits, fresh fruit, and cups of yogurt available in addition to juices, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate mix, oatmeal packets, cold cereals, milk and assorted toppings (butter, peanut butter, syrup, honey, jellies, peanuts, walnuts, m&ms, raisins). Lastly, we find the breakfast area to be a pleasant place to sit and chat and/or play cards later in the day. Coffee is available 24 hours (but not most of the rest of the items available for breakfast between 6 and 9 am.). The rooms are clean, the staff is pleasant, parking is not a problem, and they have a small outdoor pool (in season)."

"Room was clean. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good. The bar was very nice and the bar tender was friendly. Didn't use the pool but was surprised that there wasn't a strong chlorine smell like other in-door pools have. Only complaint we had was the coffee maker in the room. It spit hot water instead of a stream into the cup. Towels could have been softer. We've stayed here twice and will stay again when we visit family."

"The staff at the front desk was amazing! I had a family emergency and couldn’t come the date I booked. I called and was able to move the reservation to the next day with zero issues!! Room was clean and newly renovated and the pool was an added bonus! Will definitely visit again in the Fall for a longer vacation stay!"
