Poor service, unpleasant strong fragrance in reception and hallways which gave us a headache. Didn’t feel like a four star hotel, 3 at best. Rooms and particularly bathroom watching not cleaned well. We were taken aback when we were provided with a disabled room upon early check-in without being informed beforehand. We absolutely understand and respect the necessity of accessible rooms for guests in need, and we would have been more than willing to wait for a standard room if necessary. However, it was disappointing that the staff did not communicate this to us beforehand.

Nice hotel with a good bar in the lobby and a decent restaurant. The room was spacious and clean but lacked in interior decorating - a couple of pictures on the walls was about all. The biggest downside was that the room was hot at night as, like others we encountered on this trip, they had the heat on with no option for air conditioning. The explanation that the AC is programmed to start in mid May is weak as there have been consistent heat waves in February and April. If you are driving to the hotel and need to drop off your rental car at the airport my recommendation is to drop off your bags with the concierge, leaving the car on the small concrete apron near the front door for a few minutes, then check in when you return from the airport.

Hotel is modern and spotlessly clean. Room was large and bed very comfortable. Restaurant offers fantastic breakfast buffet, best I've ever seen. Overall, the best hotel experience I've ever had.

Woke up after the first night covered in hair, someone else's hair. How utterly disgusting that they didn't clean the bedding. Solo traveller so of course they stuck me right by the lift, must be a hotel rule, they all do it. Was give two single beds (for one person?!?!?!) Instead of a double. Insulting. The whole hotel feels hollow and unwelcoming. Really disappointed and no where near worth the money I paid Desk staff were kind and helpful, the hotels only saving grace.

We were overcome by cigarette smoke smell when we opened the room door. I immediately went to the front desk and aked for another room which they happily provided. We really enjoyed the hotel. The only negative was when just now for this review we were asked how we were treated as Expedia VIP's. What? We were unaware that we qualified for that benift. What does that even mean? Did we miss a benefit because we were unaware?

The staff was excellent. They were top notch from the receptionist to all to the room service. Dolce Vita restaurant is a most to dine. I will recommended this hotel. I will come back

An excellent hotel in a quiet location but within a 10-15 minute walk of the old town. The room was spacious and the bed extremely comfortable. As stated in other reviews the breakfast was one of the best we've had anywhere. We loved the little extras such as the water machines dotted around the hotel and the availability of the cooled green teas in reception - a welcomed treat after returning from a day's sightseeing in Bilbao. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. We would not hesitate in recommending this hotel, indeed we have booked here again prior to our flight home! Muchas gracias!

Close to Casco Viejo and Centro, but far enough removed from the hubbub of those areas to ve very restful. Ridiculously spacious room and water dispensers in the lonby and hall with some of the most delicious mineral water I've encountered.

We really enjoyed our stay here for our 4 nights. It was in a great location. Easy to get to from the highways but close enough to walk to all of the sights downtown or in the neighborhood. The hotel was clean and the rooms were large. The restaurant dinner was very good. We did not have the breakfasts as it was too expensive.

The hotel is excellent and new. The location is very good though in the maps it appears to be located distant from the city's touristic points. The blocks are very short and in 5 minutes walk we were by the old casc.

We stayed here as a one night stop off for the ferry. The hotel was fine but the area it was in was a bit rough with lots of high rise apartments and graffiti around you. We walked down the road to the old town with our children and felt a little on edge after being greeted by some unsavoury characters en route. The hotel was easy to find and has its own multi storey car park below the hotel at a cost. Staff were excellent and the room was excellent. If you are staying in the hotel it’s a great overnighter. If you do need to venture out, get a taxi to the centre or get the no. 77 bus right outside to the new town. I think this is a fair description of our experience.

My second time staying here but this visit was no where near as enjoyable. My request for a double bed was ignored. The WiFi was constantly disconnecting. The restaurant staff were poor, they just seemed completely disinterested. More than half of the red wines on the wine list were unavailable and lastly I didn’t get my 20% discount of the food and drink that I was supposed to get by booking through hotels.com. Overall a poor experience and I will look for somewhere else the next time I am in town.
