"Very nice stay at this well maintained hotel. Great staff and the dining for the breakfast was wonderful! We also dined twice in the hotel restaurant and had a great meal both times. Will stay here again if we’re back in Billund!"
"We enjoyed a lovely one night stay. It’s very close to LEGO House and within walking distance of the bus stop making it very convenient. The staff were so kind and friendly. They allowed us to store our bags after check out so we could explore the town more before our flight. Great breakfast too!"
"The Lego village was great, our kids loved spotting the lego models and also all the playgrounds around the areas. The Wlid west cabin was clean and well enough equipped for us to make breakfast and packed lunches. The only negative was that when we asked at reception about getting around Billund no one mentioned the free shuttle bus, we only found out about it on our last day. "
"My kids loved this hotel - everything is brilliant for children, lego in the rooms, Lego in the reception, Lego in the restaurant. Room itself was surprisingly big and comfy, very clean on arrival. All members of staff were friendly. Breakfast was great, lots of options and constantly restocked. "
"Beautiful hotel inside surrounded by gorgeous landscaping.
Excellent breakfast selection and having a Casino was a bonus. Would love to have been able to spend more time here to take advantage of the other amenities."

Good
Billund was small, very easy to walk around, people were really nice, and the main attractions were Legoland, the Lego House, Lalandia, and the Lego Campus. I think three full days in Billund were more than enough to see those main attractions.

Billund is mostly about the Lego experience. Lalandia was worth a visit too.

The Lego House was a terrific side trip. It is filled with creativity and values that make the world a better place. Food is really memorable but not in a great way.

I didn't have much time to explore Billund, other than Legoland. But would definitely consider returning to see more, when I have the chance.

Lalandia and the Lego attractions are wonderful, this hotel exploits that.

"Thank you very much. Very good stay. Staff gave my daughter a free ice cream because the color pencils were not sharpened. Very accommodating. Recommend staying at if Legohotel is booked or if you’d like to save money."

"Facilities are fantastic but accommodation can be up to 20 minute walk from the Lalandia hub. Not enough transport to the hub. Perfect for walking across the road to Legoland or into Billund for the Lego House."
"This was my third stay at the Refborg. In response to other reviews, I can confirm that this is an historic property maintained by a small, dedicated and very friendly staff who know the quirks of the property. Room layout and shower/bathroom size varies with each room. You will have plenty of hot water and great water pressure if you understand how to operate the knobs in the shower. Ask for help if it is confusing. You will have standard Danish beds which have separate bases that serve as the mattress, with a topper. This is the norm, and quite comfortable, but may not feel cushiony if you are not used to it. You can always request more pillows to use as body pillows if you wish. The windows all open in a variety of positions. Ask for assistance if you are not sure how to operate them. Air conditioning is not common in Denmark. In summer, open your windows at night, close the shades for the day to lessen heat. The Refborg provides fans to circulate air for comfort. One day may be warm/hot, with the next much cooler. If you are uncomfortable. know the weather will soon change. The rooms at the Refborg are ample for a single, cozy for a couple, a little more cozy for families. Utilize the community room and lounge area outside it for more play space. A fridge and microwave is there for your use too. If something just doesn't feel right, speak to the staff. I have gotten to know many of them well and know they will always do their best to help make your stay feel like home."
