Perfect lake house vacation!

12/10 recommend staying here!! Our AZ family spent a week here and we didn’t want to leave. The home itself has everything you need and exceeded our expectations with the lake life amenities. It was incredibly quiet and peaceful. Our family was able to enjoy fishing off the dock, cooking like at home, playing games at night and fires outside after the amazing sunsets. Core memories were made by our children and we can’t wait to come back again! Hosts were great with communication about my silly questions and we loved every second!

Cozy Northwoods cabin

This is our 4th wintertime stay at this great cabin and enjoyed it as always. We love the view of the lake and the peninsula the cabin is on--our kids had a great time playing outdoors.

A great place to stay in Birchwood with friends and family. The place was clean and had everything that we needed to make us feel at home. The host was friendly, helpful, and accommodating at every point during the booking process. The only issue we came across was the slightly confusing access road...perhaps additional signage would help clarify direction toward the property a bit better. Otherwise, no complaints! Thanks for a great stay!

The perfect getaway

This was our second stay in this lovely home, and it was a fantastic week! The house is well stocked with kitchen items, from a crock pot to coffee maker… we appreciate how well stocked it is. The location on the lake is prime, as you have two docks, and the sunset views are just stunning from the deck. Utilized the kayaks and caught a good amount of Northern right off the point!

Family Vacation

This is our 2nd year staying here and we really enjoy it! We love having the 2 docks for our families boats. We used the basement for movie nights and the kayaks for some mom time away :). Plenty of yard for yard games and deck space for playing cards. It has worked well for our family so we booked next years vacation already.

Great getaway with Family

The cabin was fantastic! The view was great. The kids loved fishing off the two docks. The dock in the bay worked well for our two boats. All the rooms were setup well. We loved using the Blackstone grill outside, we were able to cook almost all of our meals on it. The lower level was nice with the big TV and games. Everything was clean and ready for our stay. Thank you for sharing your cabin we really enjoyed our stay!

It’s a nice property, the house was clean and plenty of room for my family. The pool and foosball tables were a plus that I wasn’t expecting. This was the first properties we have stayed at where had to run the dishwasher before we left and put all the cleaned dishes away. Usually we only had to load and run the dishwasher. Also the owner did tell us that we had to go across the lake with our trash or take it home with us. All this should have been on the property details not sent separately with instructions. If it had been in details I may off looked elsewhere.

2nd time staying in this home, loved it all over again!

We stayed in this home two years ago and booked for the next year during our stay. Family circumstances kept us from making the trip but the owners were so very kind to let us book for the next year instead! They are so easy to deal with & their home was perfect for our growing adult family. Having two docks is nice so we can spread out and still have a place to tie up our boat. The launch is very close to the property and the comfort of the home made us want to stay longer than we could! Love it!

Great Stay

My family and I enjoyed this cabin very much! Everything was as pictured, and exceeded expectations. Beds were comfortable, there were plenty of extra throw blankets for cuddling up for a movie on a rainy day. The docks were well maintained and the little table and chairs were perfect for hanging out on the dock. The cabin was well appointed and there was nothing we wished we had but didn’t. One mention is that the grill is actually a flat top. We loved it but would’ve planned a little differently if we had known.

Beautiful Quiet Home

We enjoyed our stay overall. When we arrived we had to contact the owner to turn the air on as it was in the 80s and very warm in the home, we could not get the DISH TVs to work the entire stay and when I text the owners they never replied. The day before we left there was no WiFi. The advertisement lists 5 bedrooms. There are 3 bedrooms, an open loft and a pull out sofa bed in the living room. The house is stocked full of dishes and cookware. The view is amazing, the area is quiet. It is tricky to get there the first time and after dark but overall we all had a lovely stay for my daughter’s wedding.

Family Getaway

This property is exactly as described. Beautiful home and property fo us to enjoy for a long weekend with our family. Plenty of room, everyone had their own room, the 3 bathrooms were definitely a plus. Plenty of amenities that made you feel like you were home. The view of the lake was breathtaking. If you have older adults staying, the only issue we had would be the walk to the dock as it was hard for our parents; it is a very steep hill and uneven. Also, lots of stairs. It was no issue for everyone else. We would highly recommend this property, thank you for helping make it a memorable get together for us!

Place was clean and up to date.

Every thing was clean and up to date. All appliances work and are modern. Home looks fairly new. Having 2 docks was a big plus for us. Having no garbage service didnt seem like a big deal at first but 7 people make alot of trash fast. It was kind of a pain. We were also woken up twice buy gun shots. I live in rural Illinois and am used to hereing shooting out on the farm but these were odd times. First time was around 11pm and the second time was the next morning around 530am. Overall we'd definitely come back.

3 bedrooms + open loft

This is a 3 bedroom cabin with an open loft (not 4 or 5 bedrooms as the listing states). It is clear the cabin has been used a great deal. The couches are saggy from the use and could probably be replaced (we had trouble getting out of the downstairs couch). And the beds are very uncomfortable/springy so if you have a bad back or hip pain I would not recommend this cabin. It is right on the lake with a steep hill incline to go back and forth from the deck. The road is not paved so bring your truck when it's been raining as your vehicle will get muddy. We were able to rent a pontoon one day so that was fun. And we caught lots of fish right off the dock. And depending on your phone service you won't get voicemail or be able to make calls from the property so plan ahead and make calls when in Birchwood. The kids had a blast for sure.
