Stayed here with my family and we enjoyed it. Nice location and clean and pleasant rooms. A step up from your average motel. Not a premium resort destination but a nice place to lay your head for a bit.

Everything was great. Staff was great. I got the downstairs room as requested. But the two stars is for the carpet in room 103. I won’t go on, but that rug is way too worn and stained than should be allowed Bordering on dirty nauseating. There was an issue of whether I had reserved two rooms. I had not. The girl who checked us and said she would take care of it, and it looks like it was. Not the hotel’s fault, but Expedia’s. So, if I hadn’t had to look down, 5 stars around. Except Expedia.

Vagabond shows a "total" price that includes all taxes and fees. Then, if you read all the fine print, they say that you need to pay an extra $5 fee when you check in. I can afford an extra $5, but I dislike this dishonesty. I won't stay there again. Bedroom was nice and bed was comfortable. Heater/air conditioner was so high on the wall I needed to stand on a chair to see and adjust the controls.

Good stay for the night. I think some people are expecting the Ritz, which it’s not, but i found it to be clean and comfortable. Only downside was the somewhat thin walls and doors, which aren’t great at filtering out noise. Not a big deal for me though — my neighbors weren’t too loud. I’d stay here again.

Could not access room easily with key card...a bit frustrating. Also HVAC setting could not be altered. Bed was noisy getting out of. Coffee at breakfast was gone at 7:30 am and no one around to attend to making more that was noticeable. "Breakfast" was extremely limited. Unsure as to why they insist on charging an extra $5 at check-in.

Room was clean and looked like it was recently updated. Once I figured out how to turn off the room air/temperature fan I slept well. Definitely would come back if I ever stay in Bishop again.

This place was really cute and relatively affordable. However, i was expecting more options for breakfast...a hot breakfast. And the bed in the room was super hard. It felt like sleeping on the floor.

This is a very clean, safe and updated motel. Excellent value. Most motels of this vintage are a little worn around the edges but the Vegabond is clearly cared for and fresh. Super comfortable beds. It is located on the north end of the Bishop main strip but is completely quiet in the rooms. Nice pool area with tables, umbrellas etc. Families with kids will love this place.

Fairly expensive for what you get. We had a few issues with our stay here but with very young people working the desk who likely had no power I didn't think these things could get resolved during our stay. 1. The breakfast was not good. Waffles were pre-made and extremely dry. There were ants in the cereal... Safe to say, we did not eat breakfast there again. 2. Our room had a rip in the carpet with sharp nails sticking out. We just had to remember to step over that spot for the entire trip. 3. One day I noticed blood on the sheets of our freshly made bed. It was the evening and I was already dressed for bed so I went to call the front desk when I noticed the phone was unplugged from the wall. When I reconnected there was still no dial tone so I had to get dressed and walk to the desk. Luckily that staff was helpful and delivered us new sheets. Not sure what the other options are like in Bishop but I felt like this place wasn't worth the money, especially when converted from USD to CAD.
