Romantic Mountain Getaway- One Mile From Downtown Black Mountain, NC

This quaint, mountain cottage is perfect for a couple’s getaway. Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, “Getaway Disosway” is a three bedroom, one bath cottage with two decks, and an outdoor hot tub. Built in 1941, this well maintained property boasts original hardwood floors and a claw foot bath tub. Take a step back in time as you sit by the fire or have dinner in the dining room perfect for a southern spread.

You’ll be amazed at the gorgeous outdoor space “Getaway Disosway” has to offer. Enjoy a barbecue on the upper deck with a gas grill and seating for four. Take a few steps down to the second deck, and relax in the 6 person hot tub. Enjoy your morning coffee on the porch swing, located on the back patio. The back yard is beautiful, and perfect for a blanket picnic. If that’s not enough, there is another outdoor seating area, beautifully landscaped with seating for four.

Black Mountain is a picturesque town full of southern charm. Home to award winning Pisgah Brewing Company, you can sample over twelve different local beers exclusive to Western North Carolina. Enjoy an afternoon of golf at the Black Mountain Golf Club, or a swedish massage at Black Mountain Body Works. “Getaway Disosway” is located five minutes from downtown Black Mountain.

Asheville is located 19 miles from Black Mountain. The Land of the Sky, has several city tours, local breweries, and boutique shopping. Perfect Home in Great Location

This perfect home is located close to town and many shops and reataurants yet tucked away on a little hill overlooking the mountains. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. All the rooms were comfortable and welcoming. Would definitely stay again.

Romantic Getaway

Winter getaway

Came up to visit the cold and mountains from South Florida. Didn’t disappoint. The cabin was homey and inviting, fully stocked, and perfectly located to many local cities.

Excellent stay

This was our second stay and we celebrated our wedding anniversary! Another great year at this sweet cabin. We love how cozy it is and close it is to downtown Black Mountain. It’s always clean and the owners are really kind and responsive. We plan to be back next year!

Great Property

Amazing location just minutes from Downtown Black Mountain. Amenities were convenient to access (Ingles; Starbucks; Gas etc) even though the property maintained a secluded feeling. Tony was extremely accommodating and provided explicit instructions for operating appliances and hot tub. I highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Black Mountain.

Great Escape!

Surrounded by natural landscaping which provides a feeling of seclusion and yet only a mile from town. Beautiful cottage stocked with everything you need. The owners are very easy to work with. We look forward to coming back.

Black Mountain Cabin

We enjoyed everything about our stay. The cabin is very clean and stocked for guests. The hot tub was great to relax in after days of hiking. It's close to town with lots of cute shops and good restaurant options, but you feel secluded with nice trees and mountain views. Hosts were great communicating instructions and answering questions.

Close to downtown. Clean place and write-up is accurate. King bed was very comfortable. Close to I-40 so you can hear road noise, but it was ok.

Exactly what we were looking for!

What a gem! We loved the location - it is easily accessible and convenient to downtown Black Mountain yet feels secluded with a beautiful mountain view. The home was very clean and well-equiped. We truly enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to renting it again.

Perfect anniversary getaway

We loved how close the property was to downtown Black Mountain. Even though it wasn't far from town, the neighborhood provided a feeling of privacy. I looked most forward to the hottub and I felt the abundance of trees around the home provided a sense of seclusion. My wife was impressed with the cleanliness of the house. 30th Wedding Anniversary

Cute cottage feel. Enjoyed back deck and view. Nice fire pit. One evening watched bunnies playing and chasing each other. Downtown had lots of nice shops and good eats. The most relaxed we have been in a while, much needed time away was well spent. You won’t be disappointed with this charming location.

We absolutely loved this cabin! So cute and quaint! The third bedroom is in the basement which is totally fine unless it’s the heat of summer because there’s no air conditioning down there. But we didn’t need the third bedroom so we were fine. Loved our stay and we will be back ❤️

A great place to stay in Black Mountain

Very nice and convenient to town and area amenities- grocery store, walking trails, shopping.” Black Mountain is an idyllic town with nice people and lovely walks, great stores and fantastic restaurants. We also enjoyed an amazing farmers market and were fortunate enough to be there for the Sourwood festival. Also, Asheville is very close -airport , minor league Baseball and many more activities. The cabin was clean , well equipped, cool and had a beautiful view of the mountains. We did see a black bear from our back deck - exciting from a distance.

Weekend with my best friends

Came with my college best friends. First time we’d seen each other since graduating. We fell in love with the cabin immediately. Even more cozy than the photos suggest and in a perfect place. Right near town but separate enough and with a beautiful view of the mountains. Also used the kitchen to make an awesome dinner. My friends and I want to come back every year

Super Clean and Very Small

We were very impressed with the cleanliness of this property. It has 3 bedrooms and can sleep 6 however, there is only one small bathroom. The tub/shower is a clawfoot tub and the sides are quite high. We did not realize there was a stepstool available until the second day for climbing in and out of the tub. The master bedroom on the main floor had a king size bed which is what we wanted. However, that made the space very tight. We enjoyed having breakfast out on the deck and using the hot tub in the evening. The location is good...grocery store less than 5 minutes away and downtown Black Mountain less than 10 minutes away.

Comfortable and Cozy

We spent fight nights at the Getaway Disoway in November, using Black Mountain as a base for hiking in the area. We loved everything about our stay - the first night we arrived we had planned to check out Black Mountain but we felt so warm and welcome at the cabin we stayed in, and repeated that for the night three nights. It's definitely that sort of place. It's well stocked with everything and anything you might need, and the hot tub is just the cherry on top, especially after a long day on your feet. We'd love to return again and again - it's quite clear why other reviewers are repeat visitors!

Beautiful little getaway in the woods

This property was absolutely gorgeous. It was a quaint little country cabin tucked away in a very wooded area, but it was very close to several amenities in the area. My husband and I came here as I was the Matron of Honor in my best friend’s wedding. We had the bridesmaids come over to get ready and the natural lighting was perfect! We only used the master bedroom but it was a decent bed with beautiful decor and the wood walls and flooring were gorgeous. There were window unit AC’s that kept the house nice and cool. We used the hot tub once, and it was amazing. The hosts were easy to message and quick to respond. Would definitely recommend this place. 5 stars for all!

Not only is this cabin, beautiful structurally, but you will find yourself like we did,smiling,all the time that you are inside because of the way it is laid out and the decorations. It is truly a special place to stay.
