"The room was clean but the neighborhood was so bad that the hotel staff recommended I did not leave the hotel after dark. They were right, the area is "next level" bad. Driving is probably fine, walking would be horrible judgement, regardless of race, creed, color, or gender! Expect to pay $6 for parking in their parking lot. There's really no choice unless you want to park outside of the hotel property and have your car broken into or stolen."

"This hotel is not what is pictured when you look at the pictures online they show a nice clean, bright hotel that has new furnishings and equipment and that is not when you get when you walk in this hotel is not cool. It seemed dangerous. There were people vagrant lurking outside and it just didn’t feel safe. We immediately checked out and went across the street to a better hotel. Also when we got into the room, it smelled weird like cigarette smoke and animal, and also had broken furnishings. "

"We stayed here looking for the cheapest pet-friendly motel, and were prepared for a dump. The condition wasn’t actually the issue, though. We arrived exhausted. Checkin was fast and painless. However, we were only given one room key card for our 2-adult plus pets stay. After getting everything into the room, I drove to get food. When I got back, my card wasn’t working. The owner came and his master card wasn’t working either. After ten minutes of trying, he concluded it must be “deadbolted from inside”. I’m not sure how this makes sense, but if the lock is thrown no one can get in with key. So my gf passed out with the door locked (the deadbolt is only lock). The owner was freaking out and yanking and forcing the door."

"Garden Inn and Suites is an older hotel that has not been updated in a while. However, our room was clean, had a flat screen tv, mini fridge, and microwave. Bathroom was clean and linen’s (bath towels and bed sheets) were extremely soft and fresh. Security gates to the hotel guest area were either propped open or did t require a key to get in. We needed the hotel to be able to sleep and shower. It fit our needs perfectly. "
