The hotel was in a lovely hillside setting. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was very delicious.

For a three star hotel I was impressed with the cleanlines.
The hotel seems well maintained and the locations is beautiful with gorgeous views.

Thank you for your kind words. We will pass your comments to our staff and individuals who all help to maintain the high standards we strive for.Being at the heart of Snowdonia certainly helps with the view! If you're in area again, why not take a look at our gardens, situated behind the hotel. The names of the mountain range have been engraved on a granite outline of the view. Reflective of our strong slate heritage, the area has been formally recognised as one of the Welsh slate UNESCO World Heritage sites.
The staff were friendly and very help full. Breakfast was served late. We needed to reach a place early, reached a bit late. This does not affect the overall service which was excellent. The room needs at least more sockets by bed side for charging phones. We had only one for the 3 of us.
Overall, it is an excellent place to stay and i would recommend some one.
Everyone was super friendly and accommodating to us. The room and beds were very cozy and comfortable. With the gentle rain and ability to open the windows, it was one of the best sleeping nights of the trip. The included breakfast in the morning was plentiful, delicious and perfectly cooked. The view outside the hotel was lovely too.
A pleasant 1 night stay. Only downside was no food being served in the evening meaning we had to venture out to get an evening meal

Thank you for your response. As with several other providers in the area, we are also currently experiencing staff recruiting issues. We hope to have them resolved shortly, whereupon we expect to resume a full evening meal service for our customers. We are pleased that you enjoyed a pleasant stay at Gwesty Seren none withstanding the evening meal situation and hope that you are able to return to experience the full hospitality we usually offer. Thanks again.
Hotel is very well presented and staff were more than helpful. Situated just on the outskirts of Ffestiniog village, not more than 10 minute walk to nearest pub. Views from this hotel are truly breathtaking.
The hotel was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Bathroom and shower were very good and lovely bedding. There didn't seem to be a lot of staff but it is a very quiet time of year. We ate in the dining room and the food was good. Again, service a little slow but good. From a personal point of view, it is in the middle of nowhere but this is not a criticism as others may prefer this. We only stayed one night on our way elsewhere so on the whole it was a pleasant stay.
Great hotel with spacious rooms in Snowdonia National Park immersed in amazing landscape. Fantastic for a short break where one wants to temporarily get away from the helter skelter of modern day life, The staff are friendly and professional and handle just about everything!
Enjoyable stay here for a walking holiday in Wales. Good sized room with coffee, tea etc. Solid restaurant as part of the hotel which was really useful. Good service when I arrived and the shower/basics were great after a long day walking. Would certainly recommend as somewhere to stop over.
We had stayed the night before our stay here in Aberystwyth in an hotel twice the price- no comparison this one was definitely the best from the accommodation to the service - couldn’t fault - pity about the weather as the view from the hotel was stunning ( a-lot of low clouds)
Only one thing we’d suggest would be a larger lounge - we had a meal both nights but on the second night the lounge was being used therefore could not sit there - it would have been nice to chill out after a meal taking in the mountain views with extra drinks

Not great
Did the job, evening meal ordered platter didn’t get the mushrooms and wasn’t informed. Breakfast not worth 7.99 spoon full of beans, room okay
We stayed a year ago just as the hotel reopened from lockdown. We were so impressed we made a return stay this year. Fantastic hotel and a great base for visiting the local area including Portmeirion and Snowdon. Would highly recommended.
Superb service from beginning to end. Enormous room at the front of the hotel - the bathroom was larger than most city bedrooms! Beautiful views across Snowdonia. Isolated location - personal transport a necessity. Excellent base for exploring the national park. I will return.
Excellent hotel. We stayed in room 7,which was spacious, spotlessly clean and had a wonderful scenic view. The staff were friendly and efficient.
Its out of the village, so we had a our evening dinner in the hotel. Good home cooked food!
The hotel is located away from the main town which I liked with a panoramic view of the mountains but wish the windows from the hotel room gave me a better view!!
Not too impressed by fact that we missed our evening meal on the second night as the chef had decided to go go home earler than expected
Good place to stay in an area where there are very few choices (other than B&Bs and camping etc). Everything fresh and clean, superb views if you get a room at the front of the building. Friendly staff. Good onsite parking. Would be ideal for disabled visitors, but happy to recommend this hotel for anyone.
Very welcoming staff to a lovely hotel with superb views. Evening meal was very tasty and very reasonably priced. Rooms were a very good size - can have adjoining rooms which means you can hear your neighbours easily - the only downside to a fabulous place. Ideal for disabled guests with facilities unrivalled in our experience.

We were quite disappointed with the room. The bathroom needs some deep cleaning. I really can’t believe the mould and large number of dead flies on the window sill. The bed had a very uncomfortable plastic mattress, I had to put the quilt from the camp bed onto our mattress to make it a little more comfortable. It appears that the camp bed was situated where the main bed should be. There was no lamps within reach of the main bed. As the main bed was under the TV we were not able to see this whilst in bed. Room was number 7

Room was ok , but when entering the hotel the lingering smell of damp carried on through out the hotel.
The breakfast wasn’t great and you still had the Lingering smell of damp when eating it .
But the views were breathtaking.
