Liked: Cleanliness, property conditions & facilities, communication
Very quiet, relaxing area.
Property had everything we needed, we could only stay for a short time, but next time we will stay longer for sure.
This was a great place to say, it is in a great location with a lot around it. We were here for a short time, but the cabin was clean and had everything we needed.
The cabin is in a great location for activities in and around Blairsville. It is comfortable and had everything we needed for an enjoyable, extended weekend. Appreciated the abundance of towels and the large shower and king sized bed.
it was all very inviting, house was very nice, very cozy, the hike down to the river was very fun, the street was all quiet ,we would recommend to anyone,
Nicely equipped acoomdations and location to Blairsville. Only issue is water is not drinkable and smells like rotten eggs. Should consider water filter improvements
It was amazing. The cabin was just the right size for 4 adults. We didn’t feel crowded. My one suggestion would be blinds on all the windows. This was truly one of the most amazing cabins that we have stayed in. Can’t wait to come back next year!
Beautiful, nice creek with access, clean cabin, very nice..the only comment I might make is there were no blankets on the beds, sheets and lightweight spreads. Needed blankets but only found couch throws. Otherwise, we loved it and hope to come again!
Overall, we had a very nice stay. We came down to have a quiet weekend. The cabin is comfortable with most of what we needed. The host is very good at communication and check in was a breeze. We recommend bringing your own coffee, food wraps and containers for left overs and hair products. The location is good and the creek looks very nice for warmer weather. We stayed in February. Check out procedures were easy with no surprises and we appreciate that. We would defined stay again.
I brought my ten year old grandson and his two friends for a mountain stream trout fishing expedition! The location of this cabin was central for trout fishing in over five different water sources. The cabin was clean and cozy with every single item you would need to enjoy a home away from home. The beds were very comfortable. The showers and kitchen were up to date and nicely outfitted. And the neighbors who live there were the absolute finest people you could meet! Amazing getaway for anyone young or old!
I went with my boyfriend here. It was really pretty and a wonderful view. Note one of the beds is soft and the other is firm if that matters. Check in was easy. The owner was very communicative with me about how to get in because it can be tricky. Would definitely use again.
This cabin is the perfect place for two couples traveling together! It has two master bedrooms with their own baths, very nice linens and cozy throws throughout the cabin! The post said no internet but there was internet when we arrived and we’re pleasantly surprised. Our time at this cabin was on our journey towards home so it not having a washer and dryer wasn’t much of an inconvenience. The beautiful, peaceful creek was a definite plus, it was too wet and cold for us to hike down to and enjoy up close but just seeing it and hearing it was just what we needed! I would definitely recommend this cabin!!!
Hi y’all! We had family in from Dallas Texas and wanted to go to the North Georgia mountains.
We found this great little cabin with two separate bedrooms and private bathrooms and king size beds with the great big living room tucked away in the mountains.
The porch was to die for with rocking chairs, looking out over a beautiful tree lined mountain background.
Quiet and peaceful. We did cook in the cabin and had cooking utensils, dishes, bowls, and pots, and pans to cook with. A coffee pot and Keurig pods folders was available for our use in the morning.
Enjoyed the TVs available in each of the bedrooms.
Also, we were in a private gated community. See you soon.
Beautiful facility, nicely appointed. Very comfortable and great location. Woke up to the river gurgling and rooster crowing, then watched the hummingbirds from the deck. I'd like to stay a month but didn't bring enough books. Strike one: no internet so only four stars. I figured too far out in the country, but the router was sitting right there with a strong network signal. Why not make it available to renters? Strike two: greeted by cigarette butt on front porch, not a good first impression. But everything else was simply excellent. Get your driving directions in writing and follow carefully. I got my directions verbally and didn't do a good job taking notes so had a little trouble checking in ... my bad. Highly recommend this place! You'll love it too.
Our weekend trip to Blairsville was exactly the peaceful getaway in beautiful surroundings that we were looking for. The cabin is easy to get to, conveniently located a short drive from town, but feels like it's in secluded wilderness. There's a great little path down through the woods to a lake, which we enjoyed as a quick little stroll. The property was also excellently maintained and stocked. We would return for another weekend to this location, and I think that's the best testimony you can have for a vacation rental.
Two small notes: if there was a DVD player as stated in the listing, we couldn't find it. I recognize that most people don't use DVDs anymore and there was a smart TV, so that probably doesn't matter to anyone else. The Wifi was great.
The kitchen was stocked with dish soap (so thoughtful!) and virtually anything else you could ever want for cooking, but we could not find dish cloths for washing the dishes after we used them. If this is the biggest complaint you have after staying in someone else's home...then you had a great trip, like we did.
Great complete Getaway Destination, and Location, Location, Location
It has it all. The cabin itself is a masterpiece of elegant efficiency with modern conveniences wrapped up in a cozy, warm and friendly package that's designed to build great, lasting memories. Nestled in woods peppered with rare wildflowers and songbirds, the immersive experience begins with a generous back porch overlooking a kid-friendly park next to a stretch of clear rippling creek waters that course under a wooden bridge--towards a deep rock-lined pool crammed with trout that are stocked regularly a short distance upstream. Across the bridge, as you leave the soothing sound of falling waters beside picnic tables and strategically-placed overlook benches, a pond opens up, revealing wood ducks, various waterbirds, and, if you're very quiet, some lunker black bass and catfish hunting around the edges.
However, the location is minutes from Blairsville, the scenic routes to Helen, Brasstown Bald, Blood Mountain, and some of the most spectacular waterfalls in Georgia. Also in driving distance of whitewater rafting, zip line experiences, and the Appalachian Trail.
Now that we've discovered this treasure of a getaway, we'll look forward to revisiting as a family tradition. Wonderful experience! Thanks so much, Woody, for establishing and so carefully maintaining such an amazing place!
