10/10 Excellent

"We loved it there. Monday through Fridays breakfast was wonderful the lady that ran breakfast was amazing, but Saturdays was not very good. Food trays weren’t filled up and when you asked her for help she was too busy talking on her phone. We left for the airport hungry. We loved the swimming pool!!"

"When I got to the room after checking in, there was only one hand towel, no other towels. I went down to the font desk - there was no option on the room’s phone to call the front desk, it was simply a phone - and notified the clerk and asked for towels to be delivered while I went out to dinner, he said it would be taken care of. When I got back 1,5 hours later, still no towels. I got some from a maid the next morning. My room was at the end of the building so I used the stairs to get to the first floor the next morning and noticed a dead cockroach on the first floor landing, so I notified the two staff there of that and suggested they may want to clean the landing so people don’t see cockroaches. They said they would get to it right away. For the next 24 hours every time o went out or came back, the dead cockroach was still there. The cleanliness of the room was ok, the bathroom was in some disrepair with chips on the paint and a very old rusted water line from the wall to the toilet. One positive, the mattress was new and comfortable, not rutted. Overall the service level was very weak and the dead cockroach left on the floor for days was a deal breaker for me. Very disappointed in the Holiday Inn brand and certainly would never stay there again."

"Check in was very straightforward. The room was on the second floor, facing the parking lot. This is a motel style property with all rooms opening to the outside. The room was well decorated but some of the furnishing had some wear and tear and one of the lightbulbs was on its last legs. Overall the room was fairly dark and could have used a main light. Cleanliness was acceptable but there was a lot of dust on the floor behind the sliding door. The beds were comfortable and we slept well, without noise from other rooms or the surroundings. The staff are very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Coffee is available fresh 24/7 and the breakfast was good. Other amenities include guest laundry (which we did not use), a heated pool, and fires/fire pits. The location of the motel is good but the walk to the main street is longer than it first appears, so be prepared to get some steps in. Would not hesitate to stay here again next time we are in town."
