Nice hotel, shuttle service needs adjusting
Very comfortable hotel very close to the French side of the Basel/Mulhouse airport. The shuttle usage is not helpful though, we had to pay a taxi 12 euros as the shuttle refused to collect us from the Airport.

The staff is friendly and accommodating. They helped us order a local taxi. We did not even know that for longer trips (30+ minutes) we should order a taxi the day before. I am glad the front desk clerk helped us with this process. The next day, their colleague was also very polite and provided free water. This place is also great in that you can walk to the store within 5 minutes and there is a free shuttle to and from the airport. I would highly recommend this place. Considering that many hotels in Switzerland have a cutoff check-in around 6 p.m., this hotel helped us relax the first night instead of stressing over our late flight arrival.

Clean and well maintained, no noise from the airport. Room service food menu is tiny and my meal was missing it's salad, although it was delivered quickly. Room rather too cold and no English language channels available on the TV

We chose this hotel (at 3x the price of other options) for the pool, spa, sauna, hammam. The atmosphere was great, loved the lighting and that it was open until 11 pm. Pool was good, and sauna was fantastic (but tiny!) The “hot tub” bubbles didn’t work, the temp was tepid, and the water was cloudy and dirty looking. The hammam - the thing I was most looking forward to, was pretty, but had tiles falling off and was neither hot nor steamy (more room temp and moist). The breakfast, which we hadn’t planned on but decided to do, was plentiful and delicious, and they let us finish even though we didn’t show up until 15 min before it was to end.

Could be excellent with a few changes
This is a good, comfortable hotel about 2km from the Euroairport. It's well priced and it has a very nice swimming pool. There are 2 issues which are problematic for an airport hotel - restaurant opening times and shuttle bus. The restaurant is only open for 2hrs at lunch time and 3hrs in the evening. It's impossible to even get a snack in the bar outside these times. If the bar would even serve pre made sandwiches/salads this would be a huge improvement. People staying in airport hotels do not always need to eat at these fixed times . The other issue is the shuttle. At this time, the hotel didn't provide a shuttle from the airport and only provided a shuttle to the airport between 4 am and 6.30 am. If you need a taxi from the airport, you need to take it from the French sector of the airport. The taxi driver was very reluctant to take me on such a short journey. He eventually agreed and it cost 10e. There is no public transport and it is impossible to walk there. There is an Ibis hotel beside the Mercure. Surely they could run a joint shuttle. Luckily, I could take the hotel shuttle when I was leaving.

Taxi scam - avoid
Hotel has a alot of odd quirks, but the real issue is their taxi scam. They call from a company which charges more than double to get from the hotel to the airport - no indication of the price from the hotel or the cab, no meter running. We only needed to cab because the free airport shuttle they advertise is not currently operational (unclear why). Until they get their act together, spend your money somewhere else. With the cost of the taxi, you could spend the night in Basel instead - simply not worth staying here.

We stayed at the Mecure for one night as our flight was moved from Zurich to Basel. The hotel was super close to the airport, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the front desk team even drove us to the airport at 6am the next day, for free. Now that is service! If you're transiting through Basel, I'd recommend.

Great staff and very clean rooms and facilities. Location is near Colmar and Zurich with a very reasonable cost and the hotel has an awesome open parking lot.
