Hi Kimberly - thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While we always strive for a 5-star review, it’s obvious we didn’t exceed your expectations and apologize for any inconveniences. Since your stay we have followed-up on the items you’ve raised, including: * ordering new pots/pans, a vacuum, steak knives and a coffee maker * removed items that may have been causing unnecessary clutter * contacted the City of McCaysville to test the water pressure. We have not had any issues since your stay. Overall, the City of McCaysville has done a great job of maintaining the water pressure volume and are used to dealing with mountainous terrain. * ensuring a broom/dustpan is readily available and purchased a new vacuum For the cleaning service, we have used the same family for over 6 years and they employ a thorough cleaning and inspection process. They take a lot of pride in their work and have high standards. Historically, they have been extremely professional, dependable and consistent and this is reflected in hundreds of reviews, some of which highlighted the cleanliness compared to other cabins. Most importantly, we want to use your feedback as a learning opportunity and are doubling back on our processes - this includes scheduling another deep cleaning for January. Again, we genuinely appreciate your feedback and hope you will give us a future opportunity to better serve you.

Since your stay, we have transitioned from a DirectTV system to streaming to avoid such issues in the future. Regarding the TV problems you mentioned, we want to express our regret that the provided instructions did not resolve the issues, since they happened on a Friday night it made it difficult to coordinate an immediate visit from a technician over the weekend. We did reach out via email and the VRBO messaging feature to provide assistance. Unfortunately, it seems our attempts to assist may not have reached out, since we did not hear back from you. We understand the importance of a seamless and enjoyable stay, and we've already made improvements based on your feedback. We value your perspective and are dedicated to ensuring a more positive experience for our future guests.

In response to your feedback and the reports, we wanted to let you know that we have already taken steps to address the mattress issue. In July 2023, we replaced all the mattresses in our cabin with brand new ones (with ratings of 4.8 stars and above). We believe that these new mattresses will provide a much more comfortable and restful night's sleep for our future guests. Almost all of the furniture is a few years old (2020 or newer) and is in a rustic or brown color scheme which can come across more dated. We can look into the love seat sagging and sometimes that can be caused by the seat cushions not being tucked in all the way. We aim to provide a well-rounded experience for our guests, and your feedback helps us in achieving this goal.
