"Mökki was utterly charming and right where we wanted to be. Gulls woke us up and we walked to Artist's Point most nights to watch the sunset and the drama between the mergansers and the gulls did not disappoint! We had everything we needed and would highly recommend the location for those who really love the little town of Grand Marais!"

"Oh my, where do I start with a nicely curated and extremely well stocked home? I will list a few and let future guests discover ones which are important to them.Fire pit and dry wood excellence, outdoor spaces for activities and relaxing. Remote feel, but great bike access to town ( need to be willing to climb up the hill to the house). Everything one truly needs to cook, bake or simply grab a cup of coffee. Finally, comfortable areas to gather or nest into a chair and read a book…We hope to return this coming winter and enjoy that perspective as well. Enjoy!"

"This was a wonderful home base for our vacation. This is the perfect spot to see all the things along the north shore. The babbling brook was an excellent soundtrack to our evenings. You are far away enough from town that you can see the stars—we even caught a meteor shower while we were there. A few notes: There is a pretty big step into the cabin you might have to help elderly or children up as there is no railing or grab bar. In the same category, the spiral steps to the loft can be tricky. Use the handrail and be careful carrying up your suitcase. We did have cell service, but there is no wi-fi. It wasn’t a problem for us, but it is worth noting if you plan to do work. There is plenty of wildlife. Drive slow coming into cabin and you will see deer, rabbits, and other critters. The piano is a nice addition to the cabin—it’s probably even better if you know how to play more than Chopsticks. "

"Our room was very nice and appeared to be recently updated. This is a “self service” kind of place so there is no maid service during your stay. There is a number you can call if you need anything. It is a great location right across from the harbor so you can walk to everything in downtown Grand Marias. I would request a second floor room next time for better views of the harbor."
