TV didn’t work - nobody replied when I informed them.
The room faces the train station and a busy road - do not expect to get any sleep. Was a necessity for a cancelled flight due to Etna eruption with an early start.

We would have 100% stay here again! Four star luxury resort did not disappoint. The area they have for lounging by the sea is spectacular. There’s an area to order drinks and swim. It’s not crowded and the restaurant on site is delicious.
The staff for wonderful and over the top accommodating. Alessio was wonderful. We timed our visit so that we accidentally got there early and they allowed us to use the facilities while Our room was being finished. There is a five star hotel nearby and we took a boat tour and saw it from the sea and their beach was all rocky. The beach that we had was more sand and easy to get into the water. The room was very comfortable. We opted for the apartment with a private plunge pool, which was very nice at the end of the day. Only a 20 minute walk or about 10 minute drive with traffic to the old town.

Nice attractive hotel, with good patio and garden. Very good sized rooms which were serviced daily. Comfortable large bed. The bathroom was quite small,and the shower, was tiny, and with the sticking shower door, getting in and out was a bit difficult. Any one slightly claustrophobic would not be happy especially when the door sticks. The front room could be quite noisy, early evening,as the road was clearly a cut through to avoid the chaos on the main roads. That sais we had no problems sleeping.
The area immediately around the hotel, looked quite dubious, with lots of rubbish and parked cars everywhere. However many of the streets around Palermo are the same. Particularly the rubbish, that said we at no time felt intimidated or unsafe walking around.
The hotel is well located for sightseeing, the Parliament building,and the Cathedral are all within 20mins walking distance, the Opera House,shopping and eating area was about 30 minutes away.
All in all a good friendly hotel in a reasonable area.
If small locally typical,family hotel is your thing then I would definitely recommend the d'Orleans hotel. I would stay there again .
