We had a perfect time although the caravanpark was not very active
No shops or bar where there
For us, it was perfect
Andersons pizza was very good and very close by
Even the Osprey Coffee shop was a nice place with cosy atmosphere
Very clean and spacious holiday home. The boat hotel in the village has lovely food and is dog friendly. Not far from Aviemore and a good central base for visiting Balmoral castle, loch ness and Inverness.

Extremely well presented, as in the photos. Check in was extremely easy, through messages with the host, who always replied quickly. Very clean and tidy, with all facilities in good condition. House manual comprehensive and clear to understand.
The property was exactly as described with all amenities that one needs for such a stay. It was a pleasant one week stay at the holiday home. Very clean, organised and quiet environment. Had an issues with the heating of the holiday home as this was not working properly but at least it could be switched on manually. Other than that....a perfect stay!

Good basecamp
This is a good “roof over your head” if you’d like to explore the area (we went driving all over Scotland). It’s very small so better suited for a couple or maybe with a small child. Host was super friendly! For US visitors, this is like a small mobile home in a mobile home park dedicated to short term vacation rentals.
Loved Cairn Toul! Perfect base camp for all our Highland excursions. Day trips to Thuron, Stirling, Speyside distilleries, St Andrew’s, and Edinburgh. Cooked supper each night in the kitchen. Hostess (Fiona) was attentive and speedy in response to questions. What a treat!

Caravan
Dog friendly every seat had a different colour throw over looked like agypsie van smart tv that no one could work even her friends on site who she asked heating that switched on at 3 in the morning have been staying in caravans last 14 years this was the worst
We had a great little break, the caravan was very spacious very comfortable and every detail was catered for excellently the kids loved the selection of books, dvds and games and the selection of films for adults was great aswell. The caravan was equipped very well. We arrived slightly early and the cleaners hadn't been in yet so we popped down to the local restaurant for a quick bite to eat to allow the property to be given the once over. When we gained access at around 4.30pm we found that the standard of the clean up was particularly poor there were dog hairs everywhere on sofas and the carpet area when we sat on the sofa we got covered in little grey dog hairs this was disappointing. Then my daughter found a dirty t-shirt and a pair of boxer shorts that had a particularly unwelcome stain on them on the floor of the wardrobe as she put away her clothes. I gave the benefit of the doubt to the cleaners as we did arrive a bit sharp but really that should have been noticed. Other than those 2 issues the caravan was great and we would definitely stay in it again. We do love the area so much and have had a few great trips to boat of garten and aviemore area the holiday park is lovely and very quiet and makes for a great peaceful break away we will be returning again very soon !!
Le mobil home est bien conçu dans l'ensemble, l'espace de vie est généreux, la chambre double est confortable. Les lits simples de la 2e chambre sont vraiment petits : pour des ado, ça peut être juste. Les environs sont magnifiques.
Ideal small property for a break in the Cairngorm National Park
The property was clean, nicely equipped and comfortable. A quiet spot when we were there. We would have liked a casserole dish to cook casserole and dumplings! I bought one from Home Bargains and gave it to our son.
Really enjoyed the peace and quietness and plenty to see around there.
Good
Just the cutters need cleaning so that when it rains the water will run down the pipes and not over, but if no one tells the owner this they won’t know to get someone to come clean them. So my stay was great otherwise, would definitely do it again.
Straightforward to rent this caravan and the instructions for arrival and finding it were provided promptly and were also easy to follow. Boat of Garten is a lovely place to stay and the caravan park is easy to find and handy for amenities. The caravan itself was spacious enough to fit a travel cot in the main bedroom and the twin room was perfect for our older child. Everything was neat and tidy and the smart TV also good for watching apps (iPlayer, Amazon Prime). A great place to stay for a short break.

Comfortable and quiet
We had a lovely stay at Cairn Toul. The caravan was cosy and comfortable and a really good location. The site was quiet and easy walking distance to the pub and Strathspey Railway.
Myself my mum, sister and 2 adult children stayed for 4 days and it was a wonderful break and ideal as a base for walks and other activities. Quiet park was good for us and only a 5min walk to a pub
