Villa with Amazing Views

"An absolutely fabulous villa with the most incredible views. We are just back from 2 weeks at this villa and cannot fault it. It was clean, the air con worked great, beautifully decorated and a fantastic pool. We travelled with 2 young children. As other reviews have mentioned the drive up to the villa does initially feel a bit daunting but it is so worth it for the views you get and how private and peaceful it is, and it didn’t stop us going out almost everyday. We have booked to come back next year and can’t wait "

"We had a fantastic stay and our hosts couldn't have been more accommodating. Georgina, their housekeeper, was always on hand to answer any queries and follow up. The property itself is perfect and has everything and more you would require within it; the quality of appliances and products were very good. The driveway isn't for the fainthearted but you don't get views to die for without climbing high, and the views really are something else. Competa itself is a seven minute drive away and is a very pretty town (in my opinion much nicer than it's neighbour Frigiliana) and has all you need; restaurants, supermarkets and lovely streets to stroll around. If you're looking for quality accommodation within a beautiful setting you can't do much better."

"Our second stay at this lovely house. Great location just 5 minute walk to the village. Very private house with a great pool to relax around. Loads to see and do within a short driving distance. Margaret is a great host and we’ll definitely will be back again."

"A Truly Special Place There are hotels where you simply sleep, and then there are places that stay with you long after you’ve left. La Tienda Nueva is firmly in the second category. From the moment we arrived, we were less like guests and more like friends. Warmth, genuine hospitality and passion for both the guesthouse and the beautiful village of Cómpeta shine through in everything. The guesthouse itself is stunning. Beautifully restored, immaculately clean and thoughtfully designed, it perfectly blends traditional Andalusian charm with modern comfort. Every detail has clearly been considered. The rooms are peaceful, the communal spaces are welcoming and the rooftop terrace is the perfect place to unwind and take in the atmosphere of this incredible white village. What really made our stay special wasn’t just the accommodation, it was the feeling. It felt calm, authentic and refreshingly personal. In a world of chain hotels and impersonal check-ins, La Tienda Nueva reminds you what hospitality is supposed to be. Cómpeta is a magical place in its own right, with its winding streets, friendly locals and breathtaking mountain scenery, and La Tienda Nueva is the perfect base from which to experience it. We arrived looking forward to a holiday and left with memories we’ll treasure. Thank you for creating somewhere so special. "Pros:Fantastic stay: communication with the host was brilliant. Private. Quiet. Beautiful location. Outdoor kitchen was a great feature. The villa was clean. Cons:The AC in two of the bedrooms wasn’t working. And the water can go off however the Carl assisted us with this."

"Ein sehr schönes Haus mit guter Ausstattung und stilvoller Einrichtung. Das Grundstück ist sehr schön angelegt. Die Poolterrasse und die beiden Terrassen am Haus sind tolle Aufenthaltsorte. Der Pool ist sehr angenehm. Von den vorderen Terrassen hat man eine schöne Aussicht auf die Stadt und das Meer und auf die umgebenden Berge. Die Anfahrt auf den kleinen Bergstraßen ist nicht ganz einfach, aber machbar. Ventilatoren sind vorhanden und nachts sehr nützlich."

"Charming mountain hide away, lovingly decorated throughout. Views are amazing and a nice pool for those chilled out days. The best welcome you could ever get, very friendly, helpful hosts. Fresh breakfast prepared daily by Linsey, which tasted delicious. Don't ever pass up on her sourdough! You will not be disappointed should you visit, Cant recommend it enough."

"A beautiful, private, secluded villa that was equipped to make it a home from home experience. We had four lovely weeks here and loved each one of them. Lovely pool which was regularly cleaned and the beach was just a 20-25 drive for those days when we fancied a change. Some really lovely restaurants in Torrox Costa (shout out for La Farola and The Three Monkeys) for when we dined out (although rarely) as the two fridge /freezers at the villa enabled us to store sufficient supplies to ensure wining and dining in was no problem. Adam, the host, was very helpful with anything we needed to know and we adored having a cat about the place too! Brilliant stay - thank you so much!"
