"Wonderful location with a beautiful villa. It is rural and all you can hear are goat bells, cicadas and the water jets from the pool. Absolute bliss. The views are gorgeous and you could spend the whole holiday just positioning yourself in different parts of the property looking out. We saw some incredible wildlife. The jewel in the crown is most definitely the pool and outside seating area. Practically, approx 15 mins to Competa which has all necessary amenities (definitely recommend the ice cream shop). However eroski on the way back from the airport is huge and we did our main shops there. The AC and fans work very well. The temperature was perfect. TV and wifi are good. Highly recommend and we hope to be back in the not to distant future. Hasta la vista Competa X"

"Wir haben eine super schöne Zeit hier verbracht mit unseren Kindern.der Block in die Berge ist wunderschön. Der Pool wurde wöchentlich gereinigt und die Kommunikation lief über WhatsApp. Leider fiel das Wasser sehr oft aus , dies konnten wir eigenständig an der Pumpe wieder anstellen. Für einen Sommerurlaub an der Costa del Sol super , da man nur draußen ist . Plant man einen Urlaub im Haus , nicht passend. Das Haus müsste Grund auf einmal renoviert werden . Bei Starkregen lief Wasser durch die Fenster.Im Garten wurde leider hochgiftiger Blauregen gepflanzt, das war für uns mit einem kleinen Kind nicht so super , da die Pflanze extrem rankt.Alles in allem war es ein sehr schöner Urlaub. Vielen Dank"

"We hebben een fantastische vakantie gehad in de villa van Carlos, We hadden graag langer willen blijven. De villa is schitterend en heel ruim. In het echt nog mooier dan op de foto's. Het uitzicht is adembenemend. De weg naar de villa is prima te rijden, Het zwembad is heerlijk en de tuin is ook heel mooi.Carlos is een geweldige host en staat altijd voor je klaar.Wij komen graag nig een keer terug!!!Bedankt Carlos voor je goede zorgen!"

"A Truly Special Place There are hotels where you simply sleep, and then there are places that stay with you long after you’ve left. La Tienda Nueva is firmly in the second category. From the moment we arrived, we were less like guests and more like friends. Warmth, genuine hospitality and passion for both the guesthouse and the beautiful village of Cómpeta shine through in everything. The guesthouse itself is stunning. Beautifully restored, immaculately clean and thoughtfully designed, it perfectly blends traditional Andalusian charm with modern comfort. Every detail has clearly been considered. The rooms are peaceful, the communal spaces are welcoming and the rooftop terrace is the perfect place to unwind and take in the atmosphere of this incredible white village. What really made our stay special wasn’t just the accommodation, it was the feeling. It felt calm, authentic and refreshingly personal. In a world of chain hotels and impersonal check-ins, La Tienda Nueva reminds you what hospitality is supposed to be. Cómpeta is a magical place in its own right, with its winding streets, friendly locals and breathtaking mountain scenery, and La Tienda Nueva is the perfect base from which to experience it. We arrived looking forward to a holiday and left with memories we’ll treasure. Thank you for creating somewhere so special. We will absolutely be back, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend La Tienda Nueva to anyone looking for an unforgettable"

El Escalador - Detached finca in the mountains outside Competa

"We had a great stay at this villa. It was very clean, well equipped and well kept inside and out. The drive up from the main road is not for the faint hearted and very steep in sections but after a few trips becomes easier. Our host Tom was very helpful and communicative. There was plenty of parking/ outdoor space. The heated pool was kept in excellent condition. The surrounding views were outstanding and overall very private. The ‘air conditioning’ is in fact ceiling fans in the bed rooms only which at first were disappointed about but they turned out to be very efficient. The location from Competa, a delightful white village is about 15mins drive but aside from that there’s only a English style restaurant/bar ‘Pavo Real’ nearby, which, on the two occasions we visited wasn’t open. Maybe we just got our timings wrong? However Competa has many lovely places to eat and drink at very affordable prices and although there are mainly tourists and expats it had a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The coast is about a 30 minute drive where there’s plenty of activity and bigger supermarkets and shops."

"I had two nights here. Everything is clean, staff very friendly. Breakfast is not very clear, maybe a menu for hot food? I didn't realise there was hot food until I saw someone else receive a plate of eggs! Would definitely stay again...I might even come back next weekend 🤗"
