Friendly and helpful staff, convenient hotel located within walking distance to the train station and everything in the heart of Bologna. We stayed in a 4-person room which was quite spacious. Breakfast was fantastic and substantial.

Great location and staff, nice rooms
Nice staff and great location, the room was a bit noisy as I could hear a lot of stuff through the walls but that is old buildings for you. Not hotel fault. All in all I would say a good stay and good amenities.

Good location with easy access to train station and city center. Double room was too small. Air conditioning did not work. They gave us a fan. It was ok since we were literally in the room for just 8 hours. Included breakfast was decent.

Hotel (Albergo) Centrale was a perfectly good spot to spend in Bologna for a couple of nights. It was centrally located and within easy walking distance to all of downtown Bologna. The room was spacious enough and most importantly, clean. It's showing a bit of wear, but they look after it well. The staff is friendly, accommodating and helpful. I'd stay here again.

Great stay for 4 nights. Close to the sights, shopping dining and the main train station. The staff were always friendly and happy to let me check into my room which was ready at 10.45am. My single room was spacious and comfortable. I would stay here again when I return to Bologna.

Hotel is in a central location, only a 10 minute walk from train station and close to landmarks, shops and restaurants. We had an appartment for 4 which was spacious, clean and comfortable, it even had its own little kitchen area with fridge freezer & cooking facilities and complimentary nespresso coffee. Staff were also friendly and welcoming.

Mug was never cleaned or replaced nor were tea/coffee replenished, so little point of having the kettle other than for 1st night.Shower cubicle was too small and hot water control temperamental as was a/c.

Beautiful full apartment and service
Studio for 3 pax, was in 406 in annex, was beautiful with full kitchen and two ac units keeping it cool. There was an elevator to second floor but had to carry cases etc up an extra two flights of stairs - was a bit of a hassle but room was definitely worth it. Good selection at breakfast and friendly staff. Extra 15€ for baby crib but that looks fairly standard for italy...

A cosy, friendly hotel in excellent location

Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Room was disappointing, no window only a skylight. On the last day the water in the washbasin and shower wouldn't drain away.

Charming property, wonderful staff. Very comfortable rooms, comfortable bed (we stayed at the apartments across the street). The best, most welcoming breakfast we enjoyed in our Italian vacation. Quiet location, about a 10 minute walk from the train station, about 5-10 minutes from the main shopping district. Will definitely stay here again. :)

Small hotel in the heart of Bologna and close to Bologna Centrale (main train station) which makes it easy to travel to neighbouring cities as a day trip - Venezia, Firenze, Padova. Unfortunately, the hotel is in a side street but near a cafe/bar and it is noisy at night at least until 12 midnight. You can also hear the plumbing system in the hotel and if you’re a light sleeper this may be an issue for you! Overall, a pleasant stay for a few nights.

Good location
1st impression was bad! We were put in an attic twin bedroom with just a skylight. The bathroom was tiny with a skylight. The lift was tiny and very old. My claustrophobia and anxiety kicked in immediately and I had to request a lower floor a window. The following day we moved rooms but had to share a double bed (pillows down the middle). We got our outside window, this was overlooking a void. We just decided to make do with what we had. The double bed was comfortable and clean. The tea tray wasn't filled up each day and neither was the toiletries, that was disappointing. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was good, a kilometre from Bologna Train Station. Also a good location to visit the main square and on Sunday evening the main street was closed to traffic while everyone enjoyed the street entertainment and apertivo!

GREAT LOCATION
Great location for accessing the centre of Bologna and some very good places to eat and drink very close by. Lovely friendly staff. Comfy bed with nice feeling linen on it. Lots of choice at breakfast. Generally decor very dated and towels quite thin. However, if I was staying in Bologna I would use this hotel again.

Excellent stay.
Helpful and pleasant staff. Allowed us to check into our apartment early. The apartment was large, clean, well equipped and very secure. Area felt safe and was a good location for sights and local restaurants. Breakfast was served for over 3 hours every morning and, during our stay was never too busy. Food was excellent and was constantly refilled and area tidied. Very good value for money. Thanks

Quite a nice little hotel. Great location. But if you're sleeping in a room on the central airwell, be prepared. The kitchen door downstairs starts opening and shutting as the staff works on breakfast at 7:10 AM and continues multiple times per minute until breakfast is done. You won't sleep past 7:00! They were also very nice about keeping my bags for the day when i toured around.

My first room (306) had no fan or A/C for air circulation (even with windows open it was stuffy/hot). I felt suffocated when I woke up. I could hear my neighbors talking through the thin walls at nighttime. I had to knock on their door to ask for quiet. At first the TV remote control in my room was missing. Then Mr Calogero at the front desk found another remote control and gave it too me. The bed was excellent and great for my back (maybe with memory foam?). The second room (301), I found a very hard bed. A smell came in from the open window (smoke?) so I had to close the windows overnight. If there is poor air circulation, I cannot breath which is very uncomfortable. All the staff were very pleasant. Prompt cleaning of the room. This hotel is an old building that still needs fixing up in spots (peeling wallpaper, stains on walls and carpeting) in hallways and room walls. But bathroom in rooms were excellent although low flow shower. Liked refrigerator and amble closet space. Excellent location albeit a bit scary at first with graffiti on buildings close by). 20 minutes walk or less to Bologna Centrale makes the hotel well situated. A generous breakfast buffet with variety. Staff were nice & helpful. There are many negatives regarding condition of property and lack of air but the location and staff were the most positive aspects overall.

Pleasant Stay
Has a pleasant 4 night stay at Hotel Centrale. The Hotel is situated close to all local attractions, restaurants & bars and within 15 mins of train station. Staff were helpful and friendly. Our double room on the 2nd floor was clean & comfortable if a little tired in places & could do with some attention to walls & paintwork. Kettle, mini bar & free safe in room was welcome. Breakfast was continental & plentiful with good choice of pastries especially. Enjoyed our stay…
