"We drove in with our pop-up camper and two dogs, from Buffalo NY. Being our first time in Southern Utah, I couldn't imagine a better way to be introduced. We came down Scenic Byway 128 along the CO River, to La Sal Loop Rd. It was breathtaking and mind blowing. Note that this property is 3,000' above Moab, in the La Sal Mountains. That means you're taking a series of switchbacks up a steep road. It's paved and well maintained but you need to be on your toes. The eastern side was a little nerve racking pulling a trailer. But because of this, the views are unreal. And the western part of the road that you take to Moab is much less intense. The upstairs bedroom looks to the West so you get a gorgeous sunset every night, right from bed. We watched thunder storms that were a hundred miles away. The views from the upstairs porch, to the west, go forever. The view from the front porch rivels the back, with the mountains literally on the doorstep. Driving around Moab and Arches, you continuously see the mountains towering above and it's cool to know that's where you lay your head after a day of exploring slot canyons, arches, and waterfalls. We found plenty of dog friendly hikes like Mill Creek, Ken's Lake / Faux Falls, and I highly recommend Grandstaff Canyon. The only bad part was that there just wasn't enough time to see everything the area had to offer. Plenty of varied hiking and outdoor activities, for all. I highly recommend this property!"

"Loved our stay! The Gate House was perfect for our family and so peaceful. It was at least 10 degrees cooler at the ranch than downtown Moab which was such a nice break from the heat. It’s still close enough to Moab that the drive wasn’t bad when we wanted to shop or grab a meal. We loved the horse and goats out back and seeing all the rabbits each evening. The sunsets were picturesque and the house had everything we needed. Highly recommend if you prefer a slower, relaxing, and restful stay!"

"The property exceeded our expectations where the views of the valley, mountains and wildlife (elk, mule deer, rabbits and other wildlife) were amazing. The house was clean, comfortable and spacious. Sunsets were especially spectacular from 7500 ft elevation, looking down at the beautiful Spanish Valley from the La Sal mountains. If you’re looking for a VRBO that has a tranquil, peaceful setting, only 20 minutes from Moab, this is the place for you. We absolutely loved it. Our host was wonderful, responsive and accommodating. We appreciate our host and highly recommend this property! While there are not many reviews of this property online, there is a journal in the house with entries from guests over the years with glowing reviews!"
