"Clean hotel, best part was the Lynx gym. We stayed in the Wicked small room with a queen size bed. They’re not lying when they say it’s WICKED SMALL. The bathroom especially. Shower pressure is as really bad, but took advantage of the gym showers. The toilet is super low. Other than that, cannot complain. Plus the location was perfect and close to everything"

The Royal Sonesta Boston

"Average Stay at a Premium Price I typically stay at Marriott properties but booked the Royal Sonesta through Expedia for $400. Apparently, Boston thinks it’s NYC when it comes to hotel prices! The positives: Breakfast was excellent! The blueberry pancakes and crab cakes with eggs were delicious, and Manuel provided wonderful service. The bed was extremely comfortable, with sheets that felt almost like silk. We enjoyed the Charles River view and the nearby restaurants. Unfortunately, the negatives outweighed the positives. At check-in, we were given the wrong room number and had to call downstairs after reaching our floor. We were also given incorrect WiFi instructions. The room was a decent size, but the bathroom was ridiculously tiny. It reminded me of a hotel in Tokyo where you could practically brush your teeth, use the toilet and shower simultaneously! To top it off, the shower handle fell off. The hotel opened in 1963 and was renovated in 2016, but it still feels dated. We had just arrived from Greece after a 10.5-hour flight, where we paid $300–$400 nightly for significantly better rooms and amenities. I remember staying at the Royal Sonesta in New Orleans in the 1990s, when the brand felt synonymous with luxury. This experience certainly didn’t measure up. The staff were pleasant, and the location was convenient, but this simply wasn’t a $400 experience."
