Nice Triplex
The location of this rental was ideal - close to downtown Boston, JFK Library, Franklin Park Zoo, train stop, etc. It is in a lovely neighborhood with good restaurants, parks, grocery store, ice cream shop, and more. And it was wonderful having an off-street parking spot.

We had such a lovely time visiting Boston. The place is very nice, clean, big and had everything we needed. Neighborhood is quiet. Parking was nice to have. Everytime I had a question he responded so quickly. Very helpful. We will be going back to stay there again.

Quiet place
We really enjoyed staying here. The apartment was clean and the neighborhood was quiet. It's only about 15 min from the airport. We were happy for the coffee provided. The shower head and water pressure in the bathroom was great.

Wonderful!
My bff and i take a trip each year without our children and husbands and this year was Boston. We chose this condo because our the off-street parking and our proximity to things we wanted to see and it did NOT disappoint! The comdo was comfortable and clean and the extra coffe and snacks were fantastic. My husband wasn't too go to Boston next year and I'm already looking to see if this is available!!

All was good except it took us a while to figure out that the kitchen had dimmers for the lights. After 2 Days we found the tiny dimmer buttons on the switch which solved the problem. Construction was going on while we stayed there, unfortunately. The kitchen faucet needs to be tightened. The balcony had no seating and in the back full of trash. The rental price was reasonable.

Early morning construction
Tried to communicate with shawn hrs before arrival check in 3pm & 2 hrs after arrival time 5:30 pm to gain accessibility to said property and did not get response. Sitting in our car at property noticed scaffolding all around home. Looked abandoned. Kept calling shawn who finally answered stating he was not aware of construction and gave us access code and once we were inside, the home remained unclean from previuos rentor. He invited us to go have dinner on him so he could get it cleaned. Shawn recommended a restaurant so we went there and our bill was $178. The next morning, at 7am hammering and drilling began for the next two mornings and all the material from construction was hogging up the few spaces we had to park. Asked him to compensate us but he said he had already lost money on our stay with having to comp our expensive meal. My thought is that you should have communicated with HOA about recent upcoming plans for construction dates znd not rent that unit during those dates.

Our cleaners 100% messed up the dates on the calendar and had only partially completed cleaning when Linda and her guests arrived. They arrived to complete the cleaning within minutes (while Linda and guests were still present). I offered to buy their group dinner so the cleaners could finish up and suggested a number of local places in the neighborhood. The dinner bill for 4 people was $178. We had siding work scheduled for early October on the building and the condo association moved up the work as the contractors had another job cancel. They did not notify us (Linda's call on Tuesday afternoon was first we had heard of it) that they were starting early. With the rental being for a total of two nights Linda called me on the morning of their checkout to let me know about construction noise and asking for reimbursement (at no point did she mention any issues with parking). As I told her, with such a short rental, and the almost $200 dinner on the first night, we did not have any ability to reimburse her further. Had I know of these issues earlier I could have communicated with the contractors about starting a little later (which we did for the guests arriving the day Linda's group checked out based on Linda's feeback) and had no complaints from them about timing or parking. We apologize, as everything seemed to go wrong for Linda and her groups experience in Boston, but if you look at our numerous others guest reviews you will surely see that this one was out of the norm for the apartment.

Such a cute space! Perfect!
Such a good space to both rest and spend our evenings after our long days in Boston! Clean up was easy, and it was too bad of a walk to and from the metro. We used both Shawmut and Fields Corner stations. The commute into downtown Boston wasn’t too bad from there!

Good location close to highways. Shawn checked in to make sure we got in. The mattress a little soft for my taste. Plenty of room to move around. Would recommend an extra chair for seating in living room. Would recommend and would stay again.

We checked in Sunday. My son developed allergies Monday morning. . The rashes were severe. Had to take him to doctor for prescription medication. Bed bugs are the cause.. we washed all the bedding and towels. Had to checks out 1 day early..

We wish the guest would have mentioned something to us during their stay after Monday and we would have happily refunded their money so they could make other arrangements. We pride ourselves on providing a safe, clean and comfortable home. Once we saw this review and became aware of the possible situation we disposed of all bedding, and replaced the mattress and had an exterminator come in to thoroughly go over the apartment. Again we wish the guest would have let us know during the stay so we could have done more.

Very straightforward
We came to this area to drop off a child at college. Shawn was incredibly responsive and the place had plenty of room to hold all the suitcases, etc and park a rental car. Beds were comfortable so we all felt rested and ready to go.

“Classic Boston”
We loved this well kept first floor of an early 1900s “Triple Decker.” Everything we needed for our short family weekend in Boston. It was comfortable and clean. One parking spot out back was perfect for us. We parked the car and Ubered into town. Shawn was very accessible and quick to respond to any questions throughout the booking and our stay. The snacks, coffee and breakfast goodies were a nice touch. A sign of owners that take pride in their property and value their guests. Looking forward to staying here the next time we visit.

Wonderful place to stay!
We spent a few days in Boston to celebrate my son’s 21st birthday. It was our first time to Boston and we absolutely fell in love with the city! We stayed at this VRBO and it was a perfect place to be! It’s located outside of the city and about a 15 minute drive to Boston Commons and Fenway Park. The place was clean, had comfortable beds, a parking spot in the back of the property and lots of amenities. Shawn had great communication and offered assistance if we needed it while staying in Boston! There was a basket of snacks on the counter when we got there, such a kind gesture and added perk that we appreciated! I would definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting Boston!

Graduation get away
We are from Denver. Our daughter graduated from BU Law school so we needed a place close to everything and this beautiful condo was perfect! We were able to find our way around and the best part was the private parking in the back! Thank you Shawn and Loretta for the perfect place to stay!

Graduation home base
A very good space for our weekend visit for our son’s graduation. Just 20 minutes from Back Bay area. The street is very tight for traffic but quiet, and the available parking spot behind the house was a huge benefit. Got a little warm in the evenings during our stay. The window units haven’t been installed yet for summer. The variety of snacks, etc. were a very nice touch! Clean and safe place to stay, in a nicely renovated older house. The unit comprises the entire first floor. Grocery etc very nearby. Overall, a nice stay and good value.

Boston Marathon weekend
My family and I stayed here for the 2022 Boston Marathon weekend and we loved it. Checking in and out was easy and Shawn was quick with his communications and very accommodating with our requests. The property is located close to downtown but not in it. You can easily get there from the subway and if you have a car you are close enough to the highways to take day trips to other parts of the state. The house was so much larger than we expected and we had no problems with sleeping arrangements. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware, utensils and appliances. We were able to buy food and prepare most of our meals for the entire stay. Next time we are in Boston we will definitely be looking to stay here again.

Clean, Spacious house just a few minutes drive from downtown Boston
The rental was clean, well stocked and bigger than expected with additional room for cooking, dining and then some. The owners were very good about getting back to me with answers to my questions within the half hour and were more than accommodating when our plans shifted and we had to check in later than expected. The neighborhood is a quiet suburb close enough to downtown to make the drive in very little time.

Home away from home
This is a very nice two bedroom (sleeps more) apartment in a very pretty and convenient neighbourhood of Boston. We love to walk so the 10+ minutes to the T station was great for us although there was a bus if we felt lazy. Not far from Fields Corner and Adam's Square. Convenient to highway. Host was very quick to answer questions. Only issue was that I forgot to mention I am sensitive to room fresheners, but I moved them near the front door during the stay and everything was pretty great from then on. I loved how much space the condo had. Was able to conduct Zoom conferenced in the dining area, practice yoga in the living room etc.

Charming place
The apartment was just as described. It was clean and comfortable with an updated kitchen and bath. The floors were a little creaky and you could hear the neighbors upstairs, but that's to be expected in a home of this age. Shawn provided breakfast and snack items which came in very handy. It was farther away from the subway station than expected, but there was a nearby bus stop, or we took an Uber to get there. From there, you can get to all of the attractions in Boston. Overall, we had a great stay and enjoyed our time in Boston.

Great property with everything you need, plus a lot of extras that you never get in a vacation rental! The location is so convenient to mass transit, restaurants, grocery and major highways. Also, the owners check periodically to make sure that you have everything or if you need info. One of the absolute best VRBO properties I've ever been to.

Great Boston Weekend Stay
The four of us found this a great place to stay while visiting family in the Dorchester area. So surprised and delighted by the basket of snacks, the fresh fruit and the makings of breakfast in the fridge when we arrived! First time we have found that extra at a Vrbo OR Airbnb. Property was nice and comfortable and easy to access. Communication with Shawn was so easy. A few loose fixtures in the bathroom kept it from a full five ⭐️ rating. We would rebook for another Boston weekend for sure.

Homey & great proximity to Boston without the huge price
Shawn & Loretta's property was the perfect size for our family of four. Check-in was a breeze due to keypad locks. A property manual is provided with instructions, as well as great suggestions for area travel, food & activities. Shawn is very quick to respond with any questions or concerns. The hospitality of providing snacks, coffee/tea, pop, breakfast items, etc. was an especially nice touch! We appreciated the old home charm of the house. We walked daily to the train to take into the city & people in the neighborhood are friendly. If you're flying in to Boston Logan, it's about a 15 minute uber/lyft ride & we had no trouble finding a ride at crazy hours (2:00 & 3:00 am)! We highly recommend staying here. Great first floor apartment in an authentic Boston 3 family house. We felt very safe and at home. Shawn was the consummate host and provided all we needed (and some things we didn’t need but enjoyed - like cookies and donuts 😂🤣) T station Fields Crossing is about a 15 to 20 minute walk, but would recommend taxi back as it is a steep hill to walk up.

Shawn was great to work with, very accommodating. Snacks were amazing. Would give 5 stars, but appearance on the outside just needs shrubs trimmed. The T is about a mile walk, from house, and a wonderful and easy way to see Boston. We did use Ubers at night. The area restaurants which Shawn recommended were great. Loved not having to carry a key around for the house, shawn uses a digital lock system. Thanks again Shawn.

We really enjoyed our stay. Plenty of space in the condo with well-stocked kitchen. Loved the no-key lock. Lots of great info from our host! We recommend replacing the shower faucet, so that it allows the user to adjust the temperature and installing a few brighter lightbulbs, but overall, a great experience!

Nice Stay in Boston
We enjoyed staying at Shawn's house. The instructions he gave us ahead of time were spot on! It was very easy getting in and out of the house. He had wonderful snacks upon our arrival and the fridge had a few items in it we could use. The living room and bedrooms are nicely furnished and very comfortable and it is very convenient to downtown Boston. There were a few holes in the ceiling in the kitchen and some rotting wood around windows. Also, the front yard is very over grown. I think if these items are taken care, my review would be 5 stars. We would stay here again.

The property was good, we were not so keen on the area it was very built up, but we were using the apartment for a base while doing our sightseeing in Boston. We took Shawn's advice and found the best way of getting into Boston was by Uber taxi. The welcome basket from Shawn was really good and much appreciated.

Quaint apartment. Showed its age, but very comfortable and clean.
Host offered a great supply of extras to help make the stay easy and effortless! Great binder with offerings in the area as well as amenities offered in house! Was so accommodating when we arrived very early and went out of his way to make us comfortable. Would definitely recommend to others.
