Deer hunters paradise
Extremely fantastic place to stay. Fabulous setting, COMPLETELY equipped unit, wonderful, pleasant hosts,and their dog Oscar was even better.

Charming countryside vacation suite with immediate access to major Maine highway
Twin Ponds' hosts have created a lovely open concept suite that is delightfully decorated and well-appointed for an extended stay. Cook and eat-in, or jump in your car and travel through Maine's MidCoast towns and Islands. Twin Ponds in Bowdoinham is a restful space to relax after a busy day of exploring. I spent several of my days there doing nothing more than enjoying the fabulous sunshine that streamed into the suite while drawing and painting. It was a great treat. The hosts are very thoughtful and kind, and have helpful tips for their guests.

Wonderful base for exploring Coastal Maine
Twin Ponds was a wonderful base for exploring Coastal Maine. The Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, many State Parks and also the harbors for whale watching were not far away. The suite had everything the two of us needed. The hosts, Brian and Luana, made us feel very much at home and helped us with many hints and recommendations for things to do. We also loved Oscar, the friendly golden-retriever. If we ever come back from Germany to Maine, we would love to return.

My wife and I had a great experience at Twin Ponds, the host are wonderful, thank you Brian and Luana and Oscar 🐾. The property is beautiful and our suite was cozy and had everything we needed. This was a once in a lifetime trip to explore the beautiful coast of Maine and we couldn't have picked a better place to enjoy our stay. We highly recommend Twin Ponds if you are planning a trip to Maine, great location a half a mile from I-295 and about forty minutes from Portland international jetport.

Boutique experience
Everything about our stay was perfect. On our way back home, we did an overnight to break up the trip and stayed at a good quality hotel which was such a disappointment after our relaxing stay at Twin Ponds--at the hotel we had doors slamming, kids screaming, impersonal staff, minimalist furnishings, view of the hotel roof and parking lot, etc--YIKES--take us back to Twin Ponds where we had a cozy nest furnished in warm colors and wonderful built ins that made the most of the space. The lighting was unbelievable. No matter where we chose to sit, there was overhead lighting, table lamps or floor lamps for comfortable reading. The efficient kitchen had everything we could need and the bath was outfitted with thick fluffy towels. The view from the windows was Walden Pond worthy with many birds to welcome us each morning. Our hosts were so gracious and Oscar had special tail wags when we arrived. We know the area well and make regular visits. We are thrilled that we have a new home away from home. I will mention one thing that might be confusing to new guests. The property is listed as having 2 bedrooms. The property has two rooms. One is the master bedroom with a couch. It opens up to a room that has a day bed and the large kitchen dining room area and so is not private from the other bedroom. This was not an issue for us but might be for others considering the property. I don't think VBRO has a way for that to be explained in the listing. You will love it here!

Loved our stay
We stayed here for our 40th anniversary and it was perfect. The view out the window looked like a famous French garden, and the birds on the feeder were very entertaining. The place was right-sized for us. We enjoyed day trips to the coastal botanical gardens and Wolfe's neck park. There is a nice full grocery store ten minutes away in Topsham, as well a smaller one two minutes away in Bowdoinham. All in all, wonderful, and certainly a welcome respite from the heat of Texas!

Perfect spot to explore the Midcoast
We enjoyed our stay in this wonderful suite. It had everything we needed. It was perfect for just the two of us to explore the Midcoast of Maine. I think best was being met by Oscar the most gentle golden retriever. Highly recommend and will stay again if we come back to Maine.

Lovely Little Spot
The property was clean and comfortable and just right for our needs. The owners were there to greet us on arrival, and we got bonus pupper cuddles from Oscar :) A great location to explore to the north and the south, it was an ideal location for our visit to Maine.

Wonderful retreat, convenient to everything!
Loved everything about this property! It was beautifully decorated and super comfortable, with just the right amount of space for our group of 3. Outside was so serene and peaceful, surrounded by nature. We loved sitting outside, walking around the large pond, picking wildflowers, watching the birds, and seeing the chipmunks scurrying around. Brian, Luana, and Oscar were all so sweet! They even left a birthday balloon for my Mom. ❤️ Location is convenient to so many things! We visited Portland, Freeport, Boothbay Harbor, and Bangor all easily with day trips. Rocky Ridge Orchard just down the road had awesome breakfast sandwiches and baked goods.

We absolutely loved our stay at Twin Ponds! It is so conveniently located we explored all over southern Maine. Brian, Luana, and Oscar were all so welcoming, the yard was beautiful we birdwatched till nightfall each night. Also the restaurant down the street was fun, and the general store has good breakfast sandwiches!

Clean and cozy!
We had a wonderful one-week stay at Twin Ponds. The space was even prettier than the pictures, and super clean. There was plenty of space for our family of three, with comfortable beds and a well-appointed kitchen. The WiFi was great for remote working, and the location was a perfect jumping off point for exploring Maine. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and kind, we would certainly stay here again. If you're on the fence about booking, I can assure you that you won't be disappointed!

Beautiful relaxing spot
This was a great place to stay for me and a friend. The hosts were warm and welcoming. The space was cozy yet also had plenty of room and everything we needed. The space outside was beautiful with bird feeders, trail for a walk, pretty trees and a pond. The town was nice and quiet with easy access to other places for things to do. Loved it!

Cozy, easy access and convenient
We were very pleased with this attractive, comfortable and well-built suite. The owers and kind and helpful. The space was nicely organized and tastefully decorated. There is tons of great lighting and at least 4 comfy spaces to curl up and read a good book. We found sufficient space for storing clothes and other items. The kitchen has everything you would need to cook a 5 course meal! The property is very close to the highway - which was super convenient - yet it is far enough removed that we never heard any noise. The outdoor landscaping and walkway was beautifully tended. It was so much fun to watch the variety of birds that gathered daily at the feeder outside the window! The location of this property and ease of access make it a great choice to explore the area. We made trips to Brunswick, Topsam and Bath, particularly enjoying the haddock at the Kennebeck Tavern and the impressive displays at the Maritime Museum, both located in Bath. We hope to return in the spring!

Convenient Mid-coast Maine Location
Idyllic setting with apple, pear and peach trees on the property. Bird feeder in front of my sitting area allowed me to enjoy bird watching with my morning coffee. The location allowed for easy driving distance to Maine Botanical Gardens and Hardy Boat Puffin Cruises in Booth Bay and excursions to Bowdoinham College and Bath Maine. Hosts are very accomodating. Suite was tastefully decorated with painting of local artist- very calming atmosphere.

We loved this comfortable suite. We had things to do and people to see both north and south and the location was perfect to reach them all. We didn't meet Oscar right away but his greeting made us miss our own dogs a little less. We have traveled to Maine all our lives and now we have the perfect go-to spot for our future trips! Peaceful little suite surrounded by nature
First let me say there’s nothing little about this beautiful suite. When you walk along the curved bricked path and arrive at your door you’re welcomed by nature. It’s stunning! Remember to take a breath before opening the door, you’ll feel like you just walked into an Anthropologie decorated suite! Beautiful wood headboard, comfortable bed, gorgeous wardrobe, kitchen complete with everything you need to whip up a desired meal and complimented with fresh ground coffee! Brian and Luana were the perfect hosts, prior to booking, after booking and during our stay they were an absolute joy to communicate with. So kind and knowledgeable…knew all the right places to suggest to my daughter and I during our stay. You’ll have no trouble getting to where you decide to go as your close by the expressway and never feel like it. You’re emersed in nature with peaches, pears and blueberries growing right on the property! Beautiful water view of one of the ponds and we were fortunate to spend time with Oscar their playful pup who took to my daughter in an instant. Such a lovely couple, magical suite and perfect location. We can’t wait to come back for a visit next year or sooner! Thank you for allowing us to experience Twin Ponds!!!

We loved the location. Flew in to Portland Airport, drove to Bath and Boothbay, and a day trip out to Acadia National Park The propriety is quiet and very pretty. Great parking, private entrance, nicely decorated suite with everything we needed.

Perfect location
Perfect location for all our exploring through Maine. Space was clean and comfortable. Not really two rooms, so no real privacy for multiple guests staying there. The space was well organized and there was plenty of room. Entry way is beautiful with lots of flowers and a view of the bird feeder with lots of morning guests.

We loved Twin Ponds!
Really nice experience staying at this quiet and beautiful place. Loved having coffee on the patio and watching the many birds that came to birdfeeder and garden nearby, including finches, cardinals, and hummingbirds. Conveniently near highway, but couldn't hear it. Brian and his wife are very friendly and easy to communicate with, while letting us enjoy privacy. Unit is in great condition, very clean and comfortable. Will stay here again any time we are in the area, Thank you!

Perfect stay
We stayed at Twin Ponds while we were visiting the Freeport / Portland area on our way to Acadia. The property was perfect for our needs - 2 adults and a teenager had plenty of room and were able to cook breakfast each morning before heading out. Watching the fireflies over the pond when we returned each night was an added bonus. Our visit was too short as we were only able to visit with our hosts briefly, which allowed us to give Oscar a belly rub.

Great place and great location
The owners are friendly and helpful and the suite is well-designed and has everything you need: comfortable bed, kitchenette, lovely grounds. The location is super--we found that driving time to various places (Portland/ Boothbay Harbor/ Camden, etc) was short because of good highway access and the back way (via route 27) to Rte 1 in Wiscassett helps cut a corner to access route 1 north.

Cozy, Comfortable Winter Retreat
The Twin Ponds Suite was a wonderful spot for our December long weekend. Great, quiet location, but easy drive South to Brunswick/Freeport/Portland or North to Bath/Boothbay Harbor. We spent a few nights just hanging in the suite and the space was great for cozy hangs - all the amenities. Luana and Brian were amazing hosts and we look forward to returning!

Cozy stay
Wonderful rental with very comfortable bed, quiet in the unit, low deep couch great for reading, kitchen table and couch positioned great for watching TV, plenty of light, lovely local art to gaze at, sky full of stars at night, and privacy.

Simply wonderful!
The place was amazing. Impeccably decorated, but even more important, it was immaculately clean, with great attention to detail. One thing that was deeply appreciated was the horizontal space. Travelers need space to lay their belongings, and there were tables and shelves everywhere. The view out the window to the pond was simply enchanting. Parking was a few steps from the door. Brian and Luana could not have been nicer or more helpful, giving great info about the area and helping me find what I needed in the area. I-295 is very close, so multiple destinations were easy to navigate. I'd like to offer at least some criticism of my stay there, but frankly, there was honestly nothing I would change. It genuinely was a great experience, and Brian and Luana are very warm and made me feel like a special guest. Would I stay there again? Are you kidding?! In a heartbeat. Bonus: if you like dogs, the stay comes equipped with Oscar, a beautiful Golden Retriever, who will give lots of hugs. (And much to their credit, Luana and Brian made sure I liked dog hugs before Oscar and I became friends)

Twin Ponds has been our best stay among wonderful great places! Beautiful, quiet, safe, away from tourist craziness, conveniently close access to tons of locations we wanted to visit, well designed space, super comfortable, clean, terrific hosts. Highly recommend!!!

Great location and stay
We stayed with Brian and Luana on a trip from Boston to Bar Harbor. The place is easily accessible and made for the perfect stop to enjoy a quiet day in. All the details in the unit were clearly picked with a lot of care and love. Wifi was reliable and great for getting some work done during the day. Kitchen had all the essentials. We would love to stay again!

Lovely experience
Twin Ponds is a well-appointed inviting place to stay. Owners are friendly and welcoming. The bed is comfortable and the coffee is delicious. We loved the quiet beauty of the location.
