My children and grandchildren and myself, 9 of us, stayed at the house during a very difficult time of burying my brother. We needed a place where we could be together, but have our own space, this beautiful home allowed for us to share meals and talk and laugh and cry together in comfort. The view is gorgeous of the lake, we watched, swans and ducks, swim out front, and enjoyed a family of deer in the evenings. This provided us a safe haven and a place that felt like home as soon as we walked through the door, we cooked a couple meals and enjoyed time together. I would highly recommend this home. It was clean and well stocked with all the amenities we could possibly need.

Perfect get-away
Our weekend was spent in February for a mom only get-away. We were VERY impressed by the amount of kitchen items available, including spices and dishwashing detergent. The space was perfect and the amount of amenities we did not even use outside because of the time of year has us itching for a summer return! The is 10/10 a phenomenal property!

Six classmates (1970and two spouses spent five great days together in this beautiful house. Plenty of reminiscing and enjoying a variety of eating opportunities. Have already discussed returning some time.

Girls weekend
Wonderful property for a girls weekend getaway. The house had everything we needed and was very clean. Super cozy fireplace to sit around, chat and read a book. There were enough beds for all and a big kitchen to cook in. Loved it and would definitely return.

Winter Get-Away
As beautiful as this property is in the summer, it worked great for our family winter getaway. We did some ice fishing and we were close enough that the kids could walk back and forth to the house. The living area was spacious enough for everyone.

Senior women’s get together
This was a beautiful property. It worked out great for us because we didn’t have stairs. All the bedrooms and bathrooms are on one level. We will definitely return. The owner was very helpful also.

Stunning home and area for the fall season
We surprised a friend with a laid back girls trip. The trees changing colors and clear water on the home's beach front property was perfect. The house has great amenities and was such a simple process. Easy access to Brainerd and Nisswa made it a really fun weekend getaway.

Week Day Get Away
This was a scouting trip to see if the property would work for a family vacation in 2024. It will definitely work for everyone including the grandkids. Guest might appreciate having a binder with information on where to put the bags of trash (any recycling) directions for the fire places outside and in, etc. The pictures truly represent this property, we would rent this place again.

Wonderful experience
This property offered us a beautiful, relaxing environment to enjoy our family vacation. We had a group of nine adults, and one infant. The property was clean and well cared for. The outdoor cooking area was also a huge hit. Unfortunately, due to the lack of rain this year, we were unable to dock our pontoon and JetSki’s at the dock. We had to anchor about 100 yards out. Overall, it was a minor inconvenience given the walkout was not a difficult one. There was almost no seaweed and/or rocks to walk through. Overall, we loved it and would definitely book again.

This cabin was beautiful! It was very close to the lake and no hill or stairs which was a plus for the grandparents. We had 12 people and fit comfortably. We would love to stay here again!

Nice Property for a Family Stay
This stay offered enough space and separate bedrooms to accommodate our family party of 7 comfortably while we were in the area for a wedding. Kudos for the kitchen being extremely well equipped and stocked, .Beds were comfortable and living space was inviting. Beautiful outdoor area with lake access and kayak and SUP. It was a bit of a drive for groceries, restaurants, etc. One thing that would have been helpful would be more instructions on how to operate some of the appliances, how to lock the door, etc.

Fun, comfortable lake home
Fun, comfortable space for the entire family and just a short drive from the twin cities. Master suite was awesome and the beds very comfortable. Stunning sunsets and lot’s of deer for the kids to see.

Excellent Family Lake House
Beautiful house and beach. The large dining room table with benches on the sides is especially good for large families. My two teenage granddaughters loved the private loft. The landscaping is absolutely beautiful with large lawn, flowers and potted plants. Amazing patio with beautiful furnishings.

Fantastic place to stay!
This was our first time renting Doug's lake house and it was an awesome experience! We loved the outdoor kitchen with a Blackstone,Traeger grill and fireplace on the patio. The sandy beach and shallow water was a great place for water games. There is plenty of space on the property for whatever you would like to do. Inside did not disappoint either. A spacious kitchen and living room area was great for entertaining and plenty room for all 12 of us to sleep. The master bathroom with rain head shower is a must try! Doug is a great communicator and took care right away of anything we needed. Overall we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend staying here!! We will be coming back again!

Relaxing and fun filled family getaway.
What a great location and set up for a large family for multiple families. Easy check in process. Awesome outdoor patio/grill set up! Unreal view of the lake. Close to Brainerd if you need to get food/groceries or Pirates Cove for fun family friendly activities. Clean property with newly updated finishes. All new linens, towels - and even extra laundry detergent so that we didn’t have to worry about a thing! Highly recommend. Already planning out next family and friend getaway to come back.
