"The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. Everything was clean and newly furnished. Breakfast cost extra (we opted not to have it), and parking was very expensive ($42 if you valet; $38/day if you park in nearby garage). It is just a five-minute walk from the Americana, and we were easily able to walk to places for dinner and breakfast."

"The hotel staff was friendly, polite, and helpful. The breakfast coffee and tea came with surprise fruit and breakfast bars. The free parking was an excellent bonus for the LA area. The hotel was showing its age, but it was comfortable. I as a woman traveling alone felt same and comfortable. My biggest problem was my refrigerator worked too well and froze my food."

"The room provided the basics. The bed quality was below average. The price was hefty $200 because of its location to Unuversal Studios, and not the room quality. "

"Very nice, clean, quaint hotel with an antique look/design. Staff are polite and friendly. Parking is off-site around the block for $8 during your stay and there are nice restaurants/eateries within walking distance. The only challenge is looking up at the steep stairs when opening the hotel’s front door and there is no elevator option - but doable with care. "

"Clean comfortable room While I appreciate security I found having to use key to operate elevator annoying. Especially as it took 3-5 swipes before it took. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Close to restaurants parking was easy to access. Thank you for allowing dogs!"

"Breakfast was standard prepackaged fare, but the time were clean and staff was to friendly. Site has a rich Hollywood history, which made it an interesting stay. Some amenities, such as a smart TV or more comfortable mattresses, could use upgrades, but the price was fair for that too."
