Colorado Traction Law: From September through May 31, the Colorado Traction Law is in effect for all drivers traveling on I-70 between Morrison and Dotsero as well as US-285 to Breckenridge . This law mandates that vehicles must be equipped with either four-wheel or all-wheel drive and snow-rated or mud + snow tires. Alternatively, vehicles with two-wheel drive must have winter tires, chains, or other traction devices. Ensuring your vehicle is properly equipped is essential for safe winter driving in Colorado. If you’re renting a car, be sure to confirm with your rental company that your vehicle meets these requirements.
Important Winter Advisory: Please be aware that during the winter months, roads and driveways are likely to be snow-covered or icy, making four-wheel drive (4WD) or all-wheel drive (AWD) essential for safe travel. We are unable to offer refunds for vehicles that get stuck or require towing, and unfortunately, we cannot assist with towing or vehicle recovery. Additionally, some properties may require 4WD or AWD even during non-winter months due to uneven terrain and dirt roads. We have spent the last 15 years celebrating Thanksgiving at One Ski Hill. This unit was excellent, as always! Very clean, very comfortable and well stocked.
This property is really lovely. Ski in/ski out, great onsite amenities, and the unit itself is very well-kept and nicely laid out. We had an excellent stay and the price was quite reasonable. I highly recommend!
Great location and wonderful view looking back into Brek from balcony . Great amenities including sauna and steam. We were in Brek for a wedding w our adult children. Comfortably slept 6 of us and w 3 full bathrooms very nice to get ready for big event
Can only imagine how great it would be in the ski season.
My husband and 3 adult children had a great time on our first visit to Breckenridge. Condo was very spacious and in a perfect location. We enjoyed the easy access to the gondola into town and the chairlift up the mountain for beautiful hiking. Although we ate out for every meal the kitchen was well stocked for meal preparation and serving. Appreciated the AC for those warm days and the washer/dryer. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again on a return visit.
This is our first time in the Colorado mountain area. I had booked this place for 8 of us, including 2 children until 5 years old. The indoor pool, bowling, and movie theater were tons of fun. Walking distance to the gondola and ski in ski out were all amenities worth spending a little more on. If you’re thinking to book this place is highly recommend!
We were really happy with our stay at One Ski Hill. The location is unparalleled and the ski valet makes skiing with kids so much easier. The pools were nice but we wished the outdoor tub was open. Also, bring your toiletries as the room only provides shampoo and body wash. The dry, Colorado mountain air, and the time in the pool does a number on skin and hair and some lotion and conditioner is a must. Overall, a perfect stay.
Three bedroom property with all the amenities of the one ski hill
Very clean but we did have a few issues with heat/ ice maker/ dryer and there was response to attend to these but the heat never could be fixed
I would have appreciated knowing that the pool area was under construction in advance - seems it was due to be completed well in advance of our arrival
The bedding was average- but very clean
Nice ammentities for shampoo etc
Appreciate the spices etc staples for things you might forget at the grocery store
Front desk was attentive -
Bellmen too skis to concierge which was great with ski in and ski out baby switching
Very good are for little ones learning to ski due to the proximity and the magic carpets
You are paying for convenience here. For the price you could get a 5-6 bedroom 5,000 sq ft home, however then your schlepping all your gear (and all your kids gear) to and from the car, across the gondola parking lot, on and off the gondola. That convenience factor outweighs a lot of other factors. Kitchen is small, could use an update on silverware, pots/pans, etc. living area is small, and probably our biggest gripe is the couch in the living room, it was by no means a “comfy” spot of sit. Bedrooms were great, bathrooms were great (don’t forgot to bring your own toiletries and toilet paper) you’ll run out of the provided toiletries within a day. Washer and Dryer worked great, and it’s even a regular vented dryer so drying times are quick. Parking was never an issue underground, and even our second car they allowed a pass for the last night so they could load up the car easily. All in all it was a wonderful stay, a few cons, but the convenience factor truly outweighs those cons by a long shot.
Great stay! My friends and I had a wonderful weekend. The condo is beautiful and had everything you could possibly need. It is not walk to town but there is a driver that can take you at any time. The pool/hot tubs were unfortunately not open due to issues but that’s not the fault of the owner. Just a bummer!
Great Summer Stay at Perfectly Located One Ski Hill-would stay again
We had a wonderful summer stay at this ski-in/ski-out condo, which was just as great for warm weather activities as it must be in the winter!Pros:Unbeatable location — steps from the gondola to town and the summer ski resort base activities.Spacious layout — 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms were perfect for our group of three adult couples.Well-equipped kitchen — had everything we needed for cooking meals in. I do suggest adding a hot pad or two and some oven mitts.Comfortable sleeping arrangements — plenty of space to sleep 10 with a sleeper sofa and bunk beds, and the beds were very comfortable.Nice touches — we appreciated the washer and dryer, ample dish soap and trash bags, and a handy mudroom-style area with a bench and hooks for coats and shoes.Relaxing outdoor space — the balcony with two chairs and a table was a lovely spot to enjoy the fresh mountain air. Peaceful setting — very quiet area, yet close to hiking trailheads, and fishing was available right in town.Wildlife sightings — we were lucky enough to see a mama moose and her baby!Perfect weather — warm days and cool nights made our stay even better.Cons:Only one parking pass was provided for the unit, which was tricky since we were three couples in three vehicles.Only two keys were provided, which made coordinating plans a bit challenging when we weren’t all together.Overnight parking for extra cars was expensive, and one of the two available overnight lots was closed during our stay. 20-35/night.
List of broken things:
Heater can’t hold temperature
Microwave broke
Dryer takes 4 times to dry
Burners don’t light on stove
Water heater takes forever
Such a disappointment for what you pay. This owner needs to take care of his place. Plus, the manager was rude and was telling me she was going to charge me another day. I explained to her that I started the dryer at 8 am and my clothes were soaking wet. So I had to pack wet clothes. The manager was trying to blame me for these broken items. Definitely make sure this stuff is all working before you book. They may lie to you.
The condo was beautiful and was perfect for our family of four. That being said, we had issues getting into the condo bc the only directions we received were to enter a four digit code into an electronic lock to get our keycards. They failed to mention we had to hit the reverse arrow to clear any numbers, the unlock/lock button, the four digit code and the unlock/lock button a second time to get it to open (thankful for google which helped us gain entry). The thermostat In the main room and den bedroom was off, so I had a text conversation with the property manager and they sent maintenance out. It would not cool once turned on, so I contacted maintenance again. He told me it was working just fine and the issue was that we were in the mountains. I was told to keep all of the blinds and curtains closed and it would work just fine. We tried that and it never got any cooler. The other two bedrooms had thermostats as well, and we had to turn the temp up bc they were chilly, so I know something was wrong. They didn’t ever fix it for us, but I reiterated something was wrong when we left so hopefully it gets fixed before someone else stays there. We love One Ski Hill for the proximity to the fun park and town, and you can’t beat free fun in their bowling alley! Overall we enjoyed our stay, I just wish we hadn’t gotten the runaround when we pointed out the problem with the AC. Thankfully it’s Breckenridge so we were able to cool the room somewhat by opening windows.
