Located at the base of the Tenmile Range, Breckenridge has fantastic ski slopes, clear mountain streams and forest-fringed lakes in its beautiful backyard. Stroll along Breckenridge’s charming Main Street. Pass Victorian-era buildings and find cafés and restaurants with cosy courtyards or terraces with mountain views. Experience the local arts scene throughout the Breckenridge Arts District and attend a theatre performance. Join a historic tour to learn about the town’s fascinating gold-rush heritage or take the whole family panning for gold. Visit the Riverwalk Centre near the Blue River to hear orchestras, ensembles and contemporary artists in concert.

Access the renowned snow destination of Breckenridge Ski Resort via gondola from the town. Admire stunning mountain views year-round or hit the slopes in winter. Glide along the resort’s cross-country skiing trails or go on a dogsled tour.

In summer, explore the mountainside on a horse or bike. Visit the fun park at the base of the resort for zip-line rides, an alpine slide, scenic chairlift rides and four-wheel drive tours. Raft or kayak on any of Breckenridge’s five nearby rivers. Blue River is a favourite for fly fishers. Go boating on nearby Lake Dillon or hike up Quandary Peak, enjoying magnificent views and spotting wildflowers as you climb.

Reach Breckenridge in the heart of Colorado easily by airport shuttle or car. Take the scenic road by bus or rental car from Denver International Airport or Colorado Springs Airport and arrive in Breckenridge within 2.5 hours. Festivals occur in the pretty town throughout the year. In winter, attend exhilarating ski and snowboard competitions, snow sculpture championships and the Ullr Fest, dedicated to the Norse god of snow. In summer, don’t miss the town’s music festivals and Fourth of July celebrations.
