The Castle of Brecon Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"We were coming from Hay-on-wye where we checked out a day early due to disappointing accommodation and we booked the hotel last minute. The reviews informed us the hotel had recently been beautifully renovated but that there were some issues with the climate control (there was none). As the night was cool enough we did not have issues with the temperature and the ventilator next to the bed was put to good use. The entire hotel was gorgeous and tasteful. The staff was extremely helpful (and one of the waitresses was genuinely funny). The lady at the reception, whilst polite was just a tad snarky. At breakfast we noticed the manager was working in the breakfast room overseeing the breakfast, staff and tending to guest. Love that! That is what makes a hotel great. We also had dinner the night before and that was excellent as well. Will definitely want to come back or to any of the other hotels of the Coaching Inn Group."

"We had a wonderful experience at the Llechwen Hall Hotel, thanks to the exceptional customer service from the entire team. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and regularly checked in to make sure we had everything we needed without ever being intrusive. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service really made the meal even more enjoyable. The contemporary rooms with air conditioning was a treat ans unexpected. We loved it. All staff had a professional attitude and outstanding service truly stood out. We look forward to visiting again!"

"The staff were brilliant, friendly, helpful and polite. The position of the hotel was excellent for exploring the area. The room size was fine and the amenities good. What the room needed was air conditioning, I realise it is extreme heat and a fan was provided but I believe it was way too hot and oppressive. The water system was ropey and waiting for the water to arrive and the bathroom in general needed updating. However the room was clean."
